This is an historic property, the building is old. But the rooms has nice modern finishings . Toilets,, sinks, bed And bedding are all modern! Expect low ceilings squeaky wooden floors and lots of character. Food is very good. Sunday roast beef meal is great! Location is a short walk to the Dee River and large park!

Lovely, spacious and clean room and easy to park at hotel. Staff were friendly and hardworking! We ate in the bar and would recommend it - in particular the steak pie was execellent. Great breakfast too - and a good choice! Look forward to staying next time we're in Aberdeen.

A short way out of Aberdeen city, the Ferryhill is a lovely property. We stayed two nights. Our room was a good size with a desk and chair. The bed was very comfortable, water was hot and the WiFi good. We had tea and coffee facilities and cookies in the room. Parking is easy. We had breakfast both mornings and dinner on one night. Breakfast was okay with cereal and a selection of cooked meals. I wasn’t too happy with my scrambled eggs as they were very dry but my husband enjoyed the eggs royale and on the second morning we had the pancakes which were nice. Dinner was very good. I had chicken gougons and my husband had mac and cheese which he thoroughly enjoyed. Be aware there is no lift. We were on the top floor (3rd) and the last set of stairs are fairly steep. Being in our 70’s we were very grateful to the young man from reception who carried our cases up! On check out the female staff member carried them down. Thank you so much. If you don’t want to take a car into the centre of town it is about a 10 minute walk to Union Street where you can catch a bus in or you could walk from there in about 15 minutes. We would definitely recommend staying at the Ferryhill.

The place was very noisy until 10:30 or so at night. We were told it would quieter by 4-5ish. Supper was well served in a quieter part of the hotel. The room up on the third level was stuffy so had to open the window to the noisy crowd below. One good thing was its proximity to Duthie Park, a jewel, in a busy city

The property is easy to find and beautiful from the start. There is plenty of parking on site. Check in was easy. Our room was spacious, bright, clean, and up to date with a large closet for luggage and coats/clothes. The bed was super comfortable with nice crisp clean linens and comfy pillows. Very clean bathroom with a very nice stand up shower. Staff were always friendly, personable, and more than helpful. Right after we checked in we ordered room service from the bar, which was brought up fairly quickly. Food was nice and hot and very good. We also ate at the restaurant the following night. Everything was wonderful, but we really enjoyed the bread pudding. The overall experience, from the food to the staff, to the atmosphere, made our stay exceptional.

Lengthy stay here due to a work commitment. It really was great. Lovely, large room with what seemed to be a brand new bathroom. The food in both bar and restaurant was excellent, staff all very attentive and pleasant. No issues whatsoever, will be my first choice when back in the area for work.
