Top Aber Bay Leisure Centre Hotel Reviews
Gwesty'r Marine Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Friendly cleaning staff. Reception staff cold and long wait"
The Glengower
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is a great place to stay - very well located on the promenade, close to Constitution Hill and not too far from the centre of town. The beach is directly opposite, perfect for taking an early morning swim as I did! (Just make sure the sea isn’t too rough). The hotel itself is a lovely period property - rooms are a generous size with a very nice en suite, large comfortable bed and plenty of furniture for clothes storage. My only slight gripe was that the toiletries could have been replaced a bit more frequently and also more milk provided for tea and coffee when it ran out. Despite being above a pub it was also incredibly quiet in the room, equalling a good night’s sleep (having said that, my room wasn’t seafront-facing so possibly that might mean a bit more noise - my impression is that Aberystwyth gets very quiet around 11pm onwards though). Breakfast was of a good quality with a range of decent cooked options that weren’t too much of the gut busting variety, including vegetarian and vegan alternatives. I also had an evening meal whilst there, a breaded pollock dish which was delicious followed by sponge pudding and custard - yummy! Lastly the staff were always friendly and helpful, giving info on local things when and where needed. Definitely recommended and if staying in Aber again I’d likely look up the Glen."
The Cardigan Bay Guest House
8/10 Good
"Loved this place, a small guest house directly on the promenade along the beach front, and in my case with a room overlooking the promenade with a beautiful view of the sea front. Very nice and helpful staff (Sam) asnd a nice small (cafe) and small gift shop. Really lovely place. The room was small for two, with two beds, and a little difficult to negotiate, and the room amenities were very basic. But the place is so nice overall and the location so great, I rate the place 4/5 for what it is (small guesthouse, not an upscale or modern hotel), even though there were drawbacks, I'd certainly stay there again."
Aberystwyth Park Lodge

"Excellent hotel, location and amenities."
Starling Cloud, Aberystwyth by Marston’s Inns
8/10 Good
"Overall this hotel was clean, had comfy beds, had a good location if free parking and lovely friendly staff members. Check in was in the pub/restaurant and was effecient. We eat there at night and it was decent enough standard of food with good service from all. Good for a night stop over."

"Brilliant Lodge"
Three bedroom caravan, sleeping six people, perfect for relaxing by the coast.
10/10 Excellent
"Caravan was so clean!! Bed super comfy. Everything you need in kitchen! First time that we’ve had a caravan and a few essentials in (tea, coffee and milk!) . Towels too although we didn’t use these as we bought our own! Just fantastic!"
Excellent Value for money Bronze range, with one double bedroom and one twin.
8/10 Good
"Booked through Hoseasons our stay included wristbands (fee required otherwise) for Club access and reduced meal prices. Swimming pool and gym also included We did not use these facilities as we were seeing family. The caravan was clean and handily placed for easy walking access to the facilities and beach, where there is also a bar and food concessions, again not used. Our van was 2 bedrooms. The double bedroom had reasonable space. The twin bedroom had one 2 foot bed, only really suitable for a child, and one 2 foot 6 inch bed but, as is usual in these vans, there is only a foot gap between. Kitchen area was adequate with a fridge (small freezer box), microwave and LPG gas cooker. Serviceable TV but most of its connectors were rusty. Not a full freeview service in this area, so not many channels. Internet was not provided in our Bronze package but believe it maybe in higher rated packages (no towels, make and strip beds yourself). Mobile signal was good and no issues streaming via phone hotspot. The hot water boiler was not lit on arrival and had no protective glass over the pilot light (staff said this was as it was new, I am not sure). However it produced a good stream of hot water and showering was pleasant when water pressure was good (dropped at peak times). Small (but usual for caravans) shower cubicle, I always find the toilet in too tight a space in these vans but it was as intended - clean on arrival. Site is quiet and accessible by car only, no public transport."
