This is a wonderful house with a terrific location for enjoying the wildlife on the water. The hosts go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome. We always enjoy our visits to this charming place.
Beautiful location & views. Quiet peaceful area but still plenty to do and places to go. Very nice decor inside and spacious floor plan. Very thoughtful hosts everything you could want and more. Thanks
Best VRBO or ABNB we've ever stayed at! Spotlessly clean and so organized to make everything easy for us to enjoy. The shed full of water craft is wonderful. Also, we didn't know the area at all and found Lewisburg to be great for dinners. I highly recommend this property
Totally enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Completely supplied with all the amenities, beautifully decorated, perfectly clean and charming home. We loved just sitting on the pier admiring the lovely view and sea birds. Great sunroom to enjoy the view also. Looking forward to coming back.
The property was beautiful and the location is peaceful, secluded, and relaxing. We loved the sun porch with a beautiful waterfront view of the bay. Perfect place for a quiet and relaxing stay while enjoying beautiful views and nature. We would definitely stay here again. House was spotless and lovely decor. Very comfortable and hosts provided lots of amenities and information about nearby restaurants and shops in town.
Enjoyed our stay. House was clean. View lovely. Only challenges were discovering after our first night that most of the windows in the sunroom were unlocked... and I wasn't thrilled with having to strip the beds before we departed.
This was our second visit. The autumn view is just as beautiful as the summer view. As if that weren’t enough to make our eyes twinkle, the host added lovely little touches of autumn around the house. We felt at home and at peace.
We had an excellent weekend getaway! The atmosphere was so relaxing and the home was beyond accommodating. Anything that we may have forgotten, it was provided. The house was very clean and organized. Definitely a 5 star rating! We would book again in the future.
We enjoyed out stay very much in February. It was so quiet and nice. Very very clean! Three generations of family came and loved. The sunroom with the view of the water was amazing and nice and toasty for our winter getaway. Thank you Diane and Harold for being so helpful, all the extra nice touches you added, and sharing your lovely cottage with us! We would love to visit again.
wanted a little get away from some of the chaos of the Beltway- could not have found a more enchanting cottage that made all the noise and stress of the beltway melt away within minutes of arriving. was a wonderful time just enjoying the passtime of watching ospreys, herons and kayaking out on St. Clements. thank you for the chance to get away
This corner of the St Clements Bay is magical. My husband and I escaped to this peaceful, clean, beautifully arranged home. Each piece of furniture was artfully selected and had a special design detail. There was beautiful artwork all around the house , some even by the host! We spent our time in the back sunroom and pier with the water, wildlife, sunrise, moonrise, sailboats, speedboats and classic Maryland waterman’s boats as our scenery. The hosts labeled everything and many personal touches made us feel at home. We are appreciative to have had the opportunity to stay here. Can’t wait to book again.
The Red Oyster House (ROH) is just as charming as can be. The hosts have put a lot of thought into the details and have provided many amenities, both small and large. Bathrooms are well-appointed with supplies and, most importantly, lots of hooks! The kitchen is quite small and not great for cooking large, complicated meals, but it is well-equipped. We made use of the gas grill. The fire pit area (firewood provided!) is a lovely area in which to hang out at sunset. The sunroom, which runs the entire length of the house and faces the water, is spectacular! What a gorgeous setting! We also spent time on the pier, using the excellent binoculars provided. For me, the most thoughtful amenity was a shed full of sporting equipment. We made use of kayaks and the stand-up paddle board, paddling far enough to reach some back coves where we saw herons, osprey, bald eagles, and river otters. The shed has two single kayaks, one double kayak, a stand-up paddle board, and a canoe. Everyone can get out there on the calm waters of St. Clement’s Bay. (Note that there is a nice sandy beach, but the bay has jellyfish, so no swimming). On your trip, be sure to see the St. Clement’s Island Museum and take the water taxi to the lighthouse. Eat at the Morris Point Restaurant, a tiny place with good food, right on the water. The hosts thoughtfully provide information on sights to see and any local events occurring during your stay.Highly recommend ROH!
Amazing home on the water. Super peaceful place with a private doc. The owners are super friendly and provide you with anything you may need during your stay. Will definitely be returning for a longer stay next time!
This was our fourth time staying here. As always, we felt a welcome sense of familiarity as we walked through the door and saw the St Clement’s Bay through the windows. The whole stay was peaceful and beautiful. Thanks again for opening your home to us.
Hard to imagine we could wish for anything more the place ( indoors and outdoors) were about as perfect as anyone deserves. Seems like they have been very thoughtful about anticipating whatever a person would need. One petty thing would be a light over the kitchen sink.Wanting to stay longer and longer and longer would have been the desired long term outcome.
We stayed here two years ago and it was pristine. We were expecting a little aging of the property and the furnishings, due to age. Not so but far otherwise…it was if anything even better condition than two years ago. The bay and the birds are the reason we come and the house just enhances the experience.
We absolutely love staying at this beautiful pace. We have booked several times. Every time we stay here we are so happy with the beauty of the place as well as the responsiveness of Diane. We will continue to book here through the years !
This place was amazing! Gorgeous and decorated beautifully! They have gone above and beyond to make sure everything is stocked! We will be back for sure!
I loved that this house was just under two hours from Baltimore and it was an easy drive. The house is stylish and immaculate. The views from the sunroom were stunning. Everything about the property was very well-thought out and organized. I would absolutely stay again!
