Large, comfortable hotel. Pool and sauna were great as we were with a young child. Friendly staff and good breakfast.

A bit expensive compared to the value of the stay
Our short stay was ok in general. Friendly service at arrival, and nice breakfast included in the price. The biggest downside was the room. The room was pretty cold, and, although ordered for 2 adults and 1 child, it didn't seem to be ready for 3 people (third bed was not made, and there were not enough towels). In general ok, but not extremely good compared to the price.

Great rooms, excellent breakfast
The hotel is 30 years old but the rooms are completely renovated, modern and spacious. And the included breakfast buffet is just brilliant!

Good hotel, good service, rooms let it down a bit.
Nice hotel, lovely surroundings at the lake. Friendly, helpful staff, good sauna/pool/gym facilities open from 6.00am-midnight. Good breakfast, hot and cold buffet, lots of drink/juice options. If I had to find fault, the bedrooms are a little too basic with a change of room needed just to get drawer/storage space. Tiling in bathrooms and the spa areas are a bit dated. Denmark, you do amazing bacon, but you need to work on the sausages ! There is no room cleaning/maid service unless specifically ordered the night before. Just a daily security check.This was ok for us however fill ups of coffee/sugar/paper cups would have been appreciated. Hard to accept that hospitality in Scandinavia is much more expensive than elsewhere, but we did enjoy our stay at the Scandic.

Staff was extremely friendly. Having a two year old with you can be a handful but staff was always smiling and trying to help out. They even let him feed the fish which made his day!!

Scandic Silkeborg, worth a visit for breakfast
The local area is beautiful, the Danish lake district. Breakfast at this hotel offers the widest choice of fresh local foods I've ever seen at a hotel.

Good hotel close to picturesqe Silkeborg
Good hotel close to picturesqe Silkeborg, friendly staff provide good service. Rooms are basic and clean, communal areas such as bar and restauraunt are stylish and new. Food is excellent and service efficient and friendly. There is a compact gym, swimming pool and sauna which is great to blow off some steam. I will certainly stay again while on business.

Another fairly nice Scandic hotel
Stayed one night with my wife. Room was a bit chilly upon arrival - but otherwise all was fine. Very nice break fast buffet. All in all very similar to other Scandic hotels.

Gorgeous Silkeborg
Silkeborg is a beautiful place with more than 70 lakes. The hotel was great. Indoor pool, sauna, and games to entertain kids. Fantastic breakfast. Pity that they forgot to clean the shower before our check-in.

Beautiful Silkeborg location
Spend two days with my family two girls and two adults. The room was very nice and clean, but very little. Good facility with indoor pool, and playroom for the kids plus kids menu. Definitely worth a visit again.

Overall, we were pleased with the accommodations and had a positive stay. Our room for 4 was a little tight - there was no indication in the description that two people would be sleeping in fold out bunks. We had a great time at the indoor pool. The breakfast buffet was fantastic.

Very nice hotel in a quiet place
We got a family room. The childs beds are folding out from a closet. The staff was very helpfull and solved us any problem we had. This was the most cooperative staff we ever met. Breakfast was good. Wireless internet is available at the rooms for free. Parking is comfortable and there is a plenty of it.

The hotel was a great bargain. The staff very helpful, the food was above average at a good price, and the room was quiet. It was convenient as we had a car plus the pool was beautiful. At the price we paid, this was a steal.

Great for families and very good breakfast buffet. The hotel restaurant has great food and wonderfull selection for kids. You need to have a car because of the distance from the town. The pool is great but you need to be your own lifeguard. No air conditioner but no hotels have it in Denmark. Cleaner that other hotels in the country. I will definitely go back.

Ok pool , men for lav temperatur overalt.
Der var sgu for koldt, generelt over det hele. I sær da vi ankom til værelset. Badeværelse gulvet nåede ikke at blive varmt i den periode vi var der. Pool var rigtig fin, og alt andet var fint.

Godt hotel, men lidt slidt til prisen.
Fint og rent hotel, efterhånden noget slidt både på gang arealer og værelser. I forhold til prisen er det relativt dyrt. Restauranten er hel din til prisen.
