"Well run historical hotel"
We had a lovely experience in this beautifully appointed hotel in the Gas Lamp district of San Diego. The room was small but accommodated a very comfortable king bed with nice linens. The gas fireplace was charming. The downstairs bar was fun and very popular with guests and locals. The breakfasts were out of this world. We will go back.

"Newest Holiday inn Express San Diego Hotel Circle"
I didn't realise that this was the newest Hoiday Inn Express in the chain. They have been open about 3 months according to front desk. Very pleasant staff during check in. Very courteous and always asking if we needed help or if they could get us something. That's important for an "old cople - mid soxties).Room very nice and large. Very clean, nice to have a front area with couch, table, dual TV,s o my wife could go alseep and not be bothered with only one TV in hte room. etc instead of just a room with a bed. Breakfast was filling and heakthly with fruit, openmeal etc. Nice modern Asian fushion furniture and chairs in the lobby.

"Nice, newer hotel in a great location"
I understand Hotel Z was recently completely renovated, and I thought they did a very nice job with it. The finishes were above par, the bedding was nice, TV was better than most you find in other hotels. It is not a "luxury" hotel, but a nicely finished, clean and comfortable hotel I would recommend to anyone. There is no closet (but who really cares?). The location is great ... nice restaurants, bars, etc. within an easy walk (starting a block away). Can't beat the Gaslamp District.

Very good hotel. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast is very good and fruits and juice are available all day long. Location is perfect, it is close to metro and bus stops and about 15 min by bus to the San Diego airport (SAN). It is in the Little Italy, very good neighborhood with lots of restaurants.

We had a conference at the convention center and this hotel suite was large, great value, and close to the conference, and the eating establishments. The only problem was that when the bars close it can get quite loud as people start to make their way home...I had one night where there was a problem outside but no fault of the hotel of course.

Easy walk to restaurants, to the beach, shopping everything that Coronado has to offer. Well maintained and absolutely lovely. The house also has historic significance for WW2 history buffs. Highly recommend.

"Beautiful, Centrally Located"
From the moment we drove up to the moment we left, the staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated in a high-class renovation of an older San Diego building. Hotel is walking distance to EVERYTHING -- Petco Park, Convention Center, Gaslamp Dustrict, Harbor Blvd. I WILL stay here again. The only thing missing is a pool for the kids, but it would make for a great couples' getaway. Today was a rough day in our family -- literally from pre-dawn until after sunset. Many unkind things were said by many different family members. While intentions may have come from a deep feeling of wanting to help, the result was quite the opposite. Worse for me was seeing my own anger at other's actions and at the same time realizing I had allowed myself to become a part of being unkind. ... As I settled my little one in for bed, her tender feelings were raw from some things that had been said about her by a sibling. It broke my heart, and I realized she was not the only family member hurting. When we picked our bedtime devotion, God gave us His story of Daniel in the lion's den to remember that His protection over our hearts and minds is ever-present, and we need only to trust Him. As the literal story of a boy who could have been destroyed by lions but wasn't because he knew God had his back registered with her, I could see that she was understanding that her trust need only be with The Lord and other things people say or do really do not matter. It's a l
