"Deer Run was the perfect cabin for the three of us to wind down and relax. The kitchen was well-equipped, it was extremely clean, and above all, it was so comfortable. We were happy to shut down the cell phones. The sound of the stream was soothing, so we spent many hours on the deck. A return visit is being planned. "The cabin was absolutely great. Very relaxing and far enough away, but at the same time close to many outdoor activities. Two adults and one child stayed and the cabin was a perfect size. Everything was clean and new and the area was very quiet. We spent all of our evenings on the balcony facing the creek lostening to the running water. Jerry and Chris were very personable and it was good to know if we needed anything they were ready.We will definitely be back. "

"Really nice tranquil cabin with a porch and fire pit overlooking a little river. Bed was super comfy, bathroom was a great size. Plenty of dishes, pots, pans. Coffee k cups and creamer and sugar was provided, which was so nice. Surprised my husband with this trip for his birthday and stayed with our 3yr old and 2 dogs. Multiple cabins on the property but they’re thoughtfully placed so that each cabin renter has their own privacy and space and view of the river. Cabin had everything we needed, even firewood for a fire and access to grills with propane. Owner was friendly and communicative. Really enjoyed the closeness to multiple nature parks and trails and breweries, wineries, and distilleries. We also really enjoyed seeing the state fish hatchery too and there is Montebello Resort close by that allows for fishing without a license as it’s private. A lady at Montebello did say that unfortunately the fish prefer cooler fall weather. The nights and mornings relaxing on the porch watching the river go on by were so rejuvenating. Thanks for a great stay."

"Our stay was part of a week long trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We cannot say enough great things about our stay- our room was comfortable and cozy- the entire inn and staff are perfect for a quiet getaway and we didn’t want to leave. Food is excellent and many fun things to do close by including wineries and historic places and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Highly recommend- Brenda and Kevin are amazing hosts and people. We will be back!! "
