Activity itinerary

Buc-ee’s
  • 20m
A trip to the petrol station usually warrants more of a hurried waddle to the bathroom than a commemorative TikTok. But most petrol stations are not Buc-ee’s. The Texas-based (and Texas-supersized) gas and convenience store chain offers much more than a place to fuel up and grab a bag of chips. Its devoted fans make regular pilgrimages, sometimes driving hundreds of miles, to stock up on Beaver Nuggets and brisket and merch with its bucktoothed mascot’s smiling face. Even its bathrooms are award-winning.
Greetings from Austin Mural
  • 15m
What makes up the mural? Inspired by a 1940s postcard, the vibrant mural depicts Austin landmarks like the Congress Avenue Bridge, The University of Texas Tower, and Barton Springs. It was lovingly restored in 2013, thanks to donations from the community. We will stop and take pic's
East 11th Street (Pass by)
In recent years, East 11th Street has blossomed into an exciting hot spot. As you stroll along the pavements, you'll smell the smoky brisket from Franklin Barbecue, see the colourful Rhapsody mosaic at Urdy Plaza, and browse through stylish boutiques.
Lady Bird Lake Hike-and-Bike Trail (Pass by)
Lady Bird Lake is a major recreation area for the City of Austin. The lake's banks are bounded by the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail, and businesses offer recreational watercraft services along the lakefront portion of the trail.
2nd Street District (Pass by)
Whether you're window shopping or on the hunt for something perfect, you'll come across loads of treasures in The Second Street District. Shop high fashion at Luxe Apothetique or take a trip down memory lane at Toy Joy. These city centre city streets are calling your name.
6th Street (Pass by)
*Pass 6th street Popular st in Austin Sixth Street is distinctly Austin. With its colourful and bustling array of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues, it’s a sure bet for experiencing local characters and the vibrancy of the city.
The Drag (Pass by)
Guadalupe Street runs throughout the city, but the section hugging The University of Texas is known simply as "The Drag." On any given afternoon, you'll see hundreds of students speed-walking to classes and studying on patios. Exploring this area is worth it even if you're not a student. In addition to the restaurants and boutiques, The Drag is also home to "The Hole in The Wall," a classic Austin dive bar and music venue.
University of Texas at Austin (Pass by)
The University of Texas at Austin, founded in 1883, ranks among the 40 best universities in the world.
Willie Nelson Statue
  • 10m
The Willie Nelson statue, or simply Willie, is a bronze sculpture of singer-songwriter Willie Nelson, located in City centre Austin, Texas. The statue was commissioned to artist Clete Shields by the nonprofit organisation Capital Area Statues. We will stop and take pictures and then walk over to the Congress Bridge. 5 min walk
Austin
  • 45m
Stop for lunch somewhere near the capitol for 45 minutes.
Congress Avenue Bridge Bat Watching
  • 20m
We will walk a little bit and take pictures. No bats during the day, unfortunately.
Texas Capitol
  • 30m
The Texas Capitol is widely recognised as one of the nation's most distinguished state capitols. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
Mount Bonnell
  • 30m
At the peak, you will find Covert Park, an Austin viewpoint with 360-degree views that include the city skyline and Lake Austin. This free Austin Mount Bonnell experience attracts locals and tourists from around the world and offers a variety of activities. There are plenty of nearby Lake Austin hotels and luxury hotels in Austin to provide you with a memorable stay. We will take pictures and hike up. It's 11 mins. Please wear tennis shoes if you will be participating.
The Domain
  • 1h
Last Stop The Domain. There are many restaurants, bars, and things to do in the area that have a huge draw to these younger employer bases. Businesses can pay less to be in the Domain compared to city centre, have more access to talent, and get similar amenities in the area (all with less traffic than City centre Austin). Q2 Stadium, home to the Austin FC team is also a huge draw for companies and residents alike. The games have become a must-see Austin event for both residents and visitors. Companies like Vrbo, Amazon, Indeed, and Facebook all have office space in the Domain and we see no signs of growth in this area slowing. We will shop, relax or eat. Free time.
