This former lift used to transport people from Rua Áurea to Largo do Carmo where the ruins of the Carmo Church are located.

It was at this place where the 25 April revolution took place.
Igreja de Sao Roque (Pass by)
One of the first Jesuit churches in the world. Here we can see the statues of the Lottery Man and Father António Vieira.
