Learn to scuba dive during your Maui holiday by booking through Banyan Tree Divers Maui! Our dive booking service is owned and operated by a PADI instructor who has 20 years of professional teaching experience. Focus is on your safety and comfort with small group sizes. If you want the one-on-one attention you deserve, then you have found the Lahaina dive service for you. All of our guests receive personalised attention, and when possible, private diving.
PLEASE READ: You MUST be able to swim to complete the Introductory Dive. This means that each student can swim unassisted in the ocean. A Private Dive is REQUIRED for less comfortable swimmers, available in a separate listing. Misrepresentation of your swimming ability will lead to removal from the experience and NO REFUND.

What's included, what's not
Know before you book
- Not recommended for travellers with spinal injuries
- Not recommended for pregnant travellers
- Not recommended for travellers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travellers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Minimum age to participate is 10
- Guests should be able to carry a minimum of 30lbs for a short distance
- After diving you must wait 18 hours to fly or ascend to 1,000 feet or more
- Guests MUST be proficient at swimming in order to complete this activity. If you show up for diving and cannot swim, you forfeit your participation in the experience as well as your right to a refund.
- Must be able to answer NO to each question on the Medical Statement. A YES answer requires a doctor clearance. Failure to secure a doctor clearance when needed forfeits the ability to dive and the right to a refund. Please contact Banyan Tree Divers ahead of time for a copy of the medical form if you have any health concerns that might affect your ability to dive.
- Transport not included. Please let us know if you will not have a hire car.
- Not recommended for travellers with asthma or sinus medical conditions
- Proficient SWIMMING ABILITY IS REQUIRED. This means that each student must be able to swim unassisted in the ocean.
