Activity itinerary

Pozos ecologicos de Romeo Frances
  • 5m
Los Pozos de Romeo is a hidden gem in the beautiful region of Pedernales. Three ecological wells with crystal clear fresh water await to be discovered by those seeking a refreshing and unique experience.
Laguna de Oviedo
  • 30m
  • Admission ticket included
Oviedo Lagoon An oasis for our birds and migratory ones, for our rhinoceros iguana, for a great variety of plants and for the local community members who have found their livelihood in the lagoon. Here you will be able to observe the four species of mangroves (red mangrove, black mangrove, white mangrove), flamingos, spoonbills, mangrove canaries, several species of herons, terns, and many others.
Arroyo Salado
  • 45m
Visit to the little-known spa surrounded by vegetation and mangroves, with brackish-tasting water and a transparent colour. Located near the Colonia de Juancho and in an area of mangroves.
Parque Eolico Los Cocos (Pass by)
Rising to the height of a 40-story building, it is almost impossible to comprehend the magnitude of these wind turbines until you drive very close on the Pedernales highway. Los Cocos Wind Farm is not only the largest in the Caribbean and Central America, but it is also the first in the Dominican Republic connected to the national grid. With a capacity of 77 megawatts, its 40 windmills generate enough power to power a million light bulbs.
Playa De Los Patos
  • 20m
Like most of Barahona's beaches, this one has stones instead of sand, and is popular with surfers, who come to enjoy the fast breaking waves. On the other side of the beach is the Los Patos River, where a wide natural pool attracts locals who come here to swim and spend a fun afternoon by the river and near the beach.
Playa San Rafael
  • 20m
One of the most widespread landscapes when we talk about the Dominican Republic and from where we can appreciate the greatness of the green and leafy mountains join this spectacular Caribbean sea and where you can take a photo that will be a memory for a lifetime.
Playa San Rafael
  • 15m
  • Admission ticket not included
It is a private residence, created in 1970 by Mr. Nabij Khoury, a Lebanese merchant and industrialist based in Barahona, Dominican Republic. The name of Villa Miriam was given in honour of his wife Miriam; Dominican whom I love and with whom I have been married for 58 years. Villa Miriam was his creation, his rest home for 30 years and he said: “Villa Miriam is a paradisiacal place where I am transported to my childhood years in my native Lebanon.” So you will know this charming house where we can find a series of pools fed by the San Rafael River that run along the property, sprouting from the lush hills of the area.
Escuela Taller y Museo Larimar
  • 20m
  • Admission ticket included
We will visit "La Escuela Taller y Museo Larimar" where you will learn about the process involved in making jewellery from the larimar stone, a semi-precious stone, unique in the world with a beautiful blue colour, declared a national stone of the Dominican Republic. In this place you can even buy if you like.
Playa Quemaito
  • 2h
  • Admission ticket included
Piedras Blancas beach is a true paradise. With its intense turquoise blue waters and its gentle waves, it is the perfect option for those looking for a massage bath. In addition, on the beach you will find a variety of food and drink stalls to enjoy throughout the day. There is a handy wooden walkway that will take you directly from the car park to the beach. Do not miss the opportunity to spend an unforgettable day on the beautiful beach of Piedras Blancas.
