Conveinent place to stay
Whilst the Hotel is old and the floor boards creak something wicked (get a top floor room - and its not a problem), it was clean and extremely conveinent place to stay. Located only a couple of minutes from Earls Court Tube station (Zone 1 with mutliple lines - including Piciadilly - Tube to Heathrow) makes for a great base for London holidays

Very much OK
I have stayed here three times and have had three good experiences. I like the neighborhood and there are a variety of restaraunts and stores just around the corner. Very convenient to Earls Court tube station. The hotel isnt fancy, but the rooms are clean. They are somewhat small by US standards, but pretty typical for London. You might not want to go here for your honeymoon trip to remember, but for a good reasonable place to stay its fine. Wifi was good and free.

Good basic accomodation centrally located
Barkston Gardens is a good basic three star hotel, but its greatest asset is its central location to Earls Court road, and the tube station with direct service to Heathrow. My twin room was larger than expected with a large bathroom quite different from other budget hotels that Ive stayed at in London, typically with bathrooms like closets and rooms not much bigger. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. The front desk was helpful, we were able to leave our bags after checkout and enjoy London for the afternoon before we departed in the evening. There are no in-room safes but valuables could be left with the reception if required. My wife even liked it which is a good sign! Id definitely stay there again.
