What a wonderful ending to our west coast odyssey!
The Westgate is a beautiful, elegant hotel with outstanding service. Everything was a delight, from the fresh roses and china at breakfast in the dining room to the turndown service at night. Check-in was a breeze. Our room was beautiful and spacious, containing both separate dressing area and bath. The marble-tiled glass-doored shower was fabulous. The wireless internet service was the best we encountered on our two-week trip all along the west coast. Retrieving the car for day trips was very easy. The tips we received from the desk staff and concierge were right on the money, especially the recommendation to eat at Buon Appetito restaurant. That turned out to be the best restaurant we experienced on our trip! They arranged a cab for us, gave us directions to several destinations in San Diego, and generally made our stay the most memorable we have ever had anywhere. The final excellent point was the proximity of the San Diego Airport. We drove to the airport and turned in our rental car in under 12 minutes!

Kings for a day
We are getting ready to go to Italy for a couple of weeks and this hotel was the perfect warm-up. I was not sure about the style of this hotel at first because I’m a more "modern" type of person, but my boyfriend is more european classic style. Let me tell you something; when I went through the front doors of the Wesgate all my problems, all my indecisions and all my stress did not. The ambiance is so relaxing and the hotel smells like fresh flowers (they are everywhere). The people working there are so friendly and helpful. Our room was incredible! It was very spacious and clean. I could go on and on about the all the good things this hotel has to offer, but if you really want to relax and feel like a King or Queen for a least one day, you should definitely stay here. And one more thing: they have the best croissants in the world! (Just my opinion)

Impressive Hotel
Great stay at this beautiful, quiet hotel. Staff is very understated by accomadating. Location is fantastic for downtown night life, shopping and close to beaches and attractions. Rooms are extremely clean, and spacious. Ocean was visible from our 15th floor room but best of all we had our own private viewing of the fireworks over 4th of July!! I would denifitely recommend this hotel!!
