Too far out from CDG and Paris
Went to this hotel because of the rates and not realizing how far the commuting would be. With respect to my budget, it seemed like I wasnt getting very much for my money from any hotels in Paris. The Torcy neighborhood is Ok and the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the metro. It is also 30 minutes from Paris by metro, however it is about an hour and a half from CDG airport (and cost about 45 euros for 2 people by GARE to Torcy). The metro can be fairly expensive for frequent visits to Paris so you may want to consider buying a pass. The hotel offers breakfast for an additional fee which is mostly bread, crossaints, toast, coffee and juice. We had a small triple room with 3 single beds and a very small bathroom. The beds were hard. But it seems like alot of the hotels in Europe have hard beds. Fortunately this hotel has an elevator and the area was quiet at night.
There is a mall within walking distance which has a grocery store, and a cafeteria which is very reasonably priced but closed for breakfast. Lastly this hotel is 3 metro stops from Disneyland. Hotel offers no complimentary transportation.

Good Bargain
Speaking no french, we were pleasantly surprised by the extremely helpfull staff at check in, some of whom spoke english well. The hotel was very clean and pleasant, if not in the best condition. The location adjacent to a shopping center with numerous restaraunts and the train station was a major plus. On the downside, the beds were not very comfortable, and we had some very noisy neighbors the second night. The most significant thing was a confrontation between what we took to be a gang and the police around the train station and parking garage. The area didnt look like this was a common problem, but it was a little scarry at the time.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Remember to check what time the last train runs, or youll be taking alternate transportation back to the hotel. Using the trains is a breeze. Its 3 stops from the hotel (Torcy) to Disney (La Marne Valle). Its the last stop, and the signs actually say Disneyland. You get off the train in Disney Plaza, at the entrance to the parks.

Great location for East Paris!
The hotel is perfectly situated between a brand new shopping mall and the Torcy train station. Both locations are within easy walking distance (~200 yards). The mall is a good size with serveral shops including a Toys R Us and a Carrefour (think Super Walmart - groceries and department store). Torcy train station is ~2 stops from Disney, but 20-30 minutes to the main spots in Paris. Hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff was courteous and most spoke English very well.
