Best for the price in Yosemite Valley
Not a lot of options here, but the Majestic is grossly overpriced so the Lodge is your only option for a traditional hotel experience. Staff is hit or miss - some were great, some were very disinterested. Restaurant was decent but again, great busboy, lousy waitress. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special. Location is excellent for access to Valley activities.

Very good accommodation.
Very good hotel in Yosemite Valley close to all the sights. Ideal for walking, climbing or simply sightseeing. Clean, well appointed room, very quiet, with friendly, helpful staff. Would recommend this for visits to Yosemite.

Great Hotel
had originally requested rooms on the 2nd floor, but was assigned rooms on 1st floor. Front desk staff was happy to accomodate my original request & was moved to 2nd floor rooms after one night stay ( hotel was fully booked 1st night).

Convenient but expensive
If you want to be right in the best part of the park, this place can't be beat, however you do pay the price for it. The room we had was very close to the road and it got loud pretty early in the morning, fortunately it wasn't bad at night. The room was ok, they made sure you had everything you needed, it was just kind of run down, especially the carpet. The resturants were very convenient and the shuttle system was great. The view of the falls was the best part of the place, spectacular !

Although perfectly positioned hotel in the valley of Yosemite national park, the hotel was dated & the room just about acceptable, would not of liked to stay more than 2 nights.

Room with a view
Basic room with superb view(you are paying for the location not the comfort) . Swimming pool closed at 6 which was very disappointing as after a full day of walking the kids just want to chill and have fun. We would definitely stay in the park again.

Outside door on ground floor was broken. We booked a room to share with another couple but facilities were not set up for four people. Had to request more pillows, coffee, cups. Made two phone calls to reception to request and took half an hour before they arrived. Poor quality for price of room.

Usual National Park standards
As we arrived outside the lodge reception there are no notices to tell you to check in before unloading your vehicle, so we trudged into the reception with all our luggage only to find that after checking in we had to reload to drive to our accommodation. We visited in early April and it was busy, with parking outside our lodge difficult, however once you've parked you don't need your car again as the free shuttle buses are great. Yosemite Falls Lodge is in a wonderful location below the Falls which are a little noisy at night but hey this is nature at its most awesome.

Nice hotel room in amazing National Park
Hotel is great in terms of being inside the park and easy access to the free shuttle, along with lots of parking nearby at the hotel itself. We'd stay again. Only things to point out are: The keys are old fashioned keys, and so needing to keep track of it becomes a little difficult. The heater in the hotel room was quite loud.

Poor Food Court
Overall service @ food in the cafeteria in the Food Court was very poor. Long delays & staff while friendly were not trained well to deal with large groups of people. Prices for what was available were too high.

Yosemite Lodge at the Falls - Yosemite National Pa
Stayed for week. New park facility management company called Aramark has taken over from the Delaware & has made extensive changes & improvements in a very short time. Restaurant food in the Food Court has improved dramatically from past. Maid service was followed up by a supervisor double-checking service. Room decor appears to be updated and new including painting, not sure about carpeting. Some services not open yet for season since this visit was in March and summer season is not here yet. We've stayed in this hotel several times in past and have yet to have a complaint about anything.

Perfect for a quick getaway.
Perfect location: right next to the falls, food court and bus stop inside the park and reasonably priced. Rooms were small but why would you want to stay indoors in a national park?

Easy Walk to the Falls or River.
We had a bottom floor unit closest to Yosemite Falls. Our main window and "patio" area had a magnificent view of rocks and trees west of the falls. We just walked half a block to the road, crossed and we were at Yosemite Falls. Going the other direction = 2 blocks to the river (sandy beach area). 2 gift shops, a restaurant and cafeteria, and meeting rooms in the same complex. Permit parking for guests. Room was freshly painted and furnished. Can hear noise from upstairs room and road. Not all rooms have the same views or access.

Surprisingly spacious
The room - including a king-size bed and bunk-bed that sleeps 3 - was much larger than we expected, and at $143 including tax would have been a good deal even without being in Yosemite Valley, and an absolute steal considering the location. There was a nice lounge area with an L-shaped couch where we entered, plus two sinks and a small fridge in the living area. When we arrived the heat was turned on higher than was comfortable, and even after we turned it off it took several hours to cool down (which just shows that the room is well-insulated, we could have opened the windows if we wanted). I found the check-in and check-out staff to be slow, but the concession is changing on March 1 and maybe Aramark will handle that better. We brought our own food so we didn't avail ourselves of the cafeteria and can't comment on that. Not sure I'd stay there in the summer- too touristy at that point - but for the winter it was a great deal. There was no elevator to the 2nd floor, but considering that we usually camp in national parks rather than go soft at hotels, that wasn't a big deal. Wi-Fi was slow but if you need to get serious work done you shouldn't be coming to Yosemite in the first place.

Fantastic experience
Easy and friendly check-in. (Thank you, Cynthia! ) Got a great room across from Yosemite Falls. The Lodge is rustic, appropriate for the location. The rooms are a good size and are well appointed and comfortable. So great to wake up right in the park and get going for the morning's walk. There's a food court with a grill station for meals as well as a hamburger/sandwich choice. The Peet's Coffee station is open in the morning. The food at the "fine dining" Mountain Room was very good. Service was friendly. We were there on a very beautiful February weekend. Would definitely stay here again.

Love the Lodge!
The lodge is aging, but you're not paying for the room - you're paying for the location. And it's well worth it! If you can't camp, or it's too cold, the Lodge is a great spot to stay. Throughout the whole park the concessions are pretty pricey, so it helps to bring some of your own food and/or drink to the room with you.

Family of Five
The room was a good fit for our family of five, the room was clean and warm, we appreciated that we had access to outside and had great views of the NP. The only little negative would be the TV reception was not the best but this did not really affect us as we were here to see the National Park and its beauty. The free shuttle was excellent and we really appreciated the ease of getting around the NP. It is a very good location with all the easy access to eating places and shops. Happily stay again.

Convenient Location
Lodge location is very convenient to tour buses, food and dining. Hotel staff and tour staff very helpful and friendly. Cafe dining was quick and easy way to get lunch or dinner. Mt View dining during christmas dinner was very nice with a good and friendly wait staff. The prime rib and salmon was cooked the way the family ordered. We enjoyed the evening enough it was worth the price.

Honeymoon stay
When we arrived there was mouldy food in the refrigerator and a used coffee filter in the coffee machine. We did report it to the front desk and they did apologise but this isn't the sort of service you'd expect especially when the checkin time wasn't until 5pm anyway so there should have been adequate time for cleaning. No discount was offered.

Great location, not the room in the photos
The hotel is located very centrally. The bus service was fabulous. The room that we got put in, did not have a working television and so they put a very small monitor in it for us to use. The rooms were not like the beautiful ones in the photos, and ours really needed an update. The room next door is just divided by one door on either side and the neighbours were so noisy, that it felt like they were right in our room with us. We were exhausted from our long drive, and I called the front desk regarding this issue, but they did nothing to help us out. Very disappointed with the room. Very rustic.

Location location location
Room in Bristol building, 2 large queen beds, no A/C so have to open metal slats that are attached to the screen window and open wooden overlay on screened door for ventilation. They provide one small fan and there is one ceiling fan. Bathroom large with separate vanity, newly updated and clean, small refrigerator in room. This building is in back of property, one level and quiet but requires a very long walk to parking, ice machine, office or food. We did not try the lodge dining for it was too pricey, the cafeteria food in evening looked terrible so we drove to Curry Village, ate one night in their cafeteria for $14, hot and decent meal, the other meal was from the Curry Village pizza and it was excellent. There is a small outdoor bar with both beer and mixed drinks available on pizza patio. Check in line was long, our receptionist was short with our questions, borderline rude and difficult to understand. There seems to be a minimal number of staff, virtually no one available to answer questions. We never saw a Ranger. The lodge is a series of dark buildings that are significantly apart. We did see a pool area that was closed. The room did not have adequate lighting, we had to remove lamp shades to simply get enough light to move around. The tv was a nice, large flat screen and the room was quite large with a sofa and a small table and 2 chairs. The outside had a private patio with 2 chairs. The location is excellent and large buses are available for transportation in the V

out stay for 3 nights in November 2015.
The hotel could not be in a more perfect position in Yosemite Park.words actually can't do the area justice. Clearly the hotel lives off this and does not reinvest the high nightly rate back into the facility. It is very outdated and urgently needs upgrading to modern standards that can justify the pricing. Food offering very poor in all of the restaurants, bars etc and most of the staff inattentive, although one or two were the exception. Problem is if you want to be in the best area you don't have a great deal of options.

nice hotel close to great hikes
I had read some reviews before going and was a bit unsure of what I would get. But room was nice and spacious with a fresh look into it. The food court and restaurant just a short walk was a great value and staff was nice! Also we were able to park the car just outside our room which was very convinient. It is just pity that the check in is at 5pm and that the restaurant closes at 8pm. As for the price I do think is a bit overpriced but to be honest anything inside Yosemite or around felt expensive anyway and this one at least gives you an amazing location with the Yosemite upper fall trail just around the corner.

Great stay
The review probably under emphasises the good points. The food outlets and restaurants were good and as expected busy. Would have liked to have more light in the rooms and the policy of saving water would have been made more relevant if the sink plugs had worked & the need for a running tap when shaving etc would be a saving. Great stay in a fantastic place.

nice to stay in the park
The lodge is very basic. No A/C, but we found a fan in the closet since it gets quite warm in the afternoons and evenings. It is clean and close to nature. There's no need for a TV since you can sit outside on your private patio. It was worth it to me to be able to stay in the park. I felt like I was better able to make the most of my two and a half days there.

Little value for money spent
Yosemite Valley is amazing. This hotel was overpriced. Stayed five nights at two fifty a night and expected a lot more than we got. Large room, but hadn't been dusted in weeks. We cleaned and left samples of the filth for supervisor. On third night we asked why toilet and sink not cleaned. Informed by housekeeping super that those items were not standard to clean on their list. Excuse me! Two fifty a night and you don't clean the toilet or sink? Window louvers and window broken. Informed front desk. Told that because it is on historic register, they cannot replace windows, and there are no parts for existing. When there is a health or safety issue, I bet there is a solution, so this sounded bogus. The Food Court was really bad. Overpriced cafeteria food. Had lunch at the Ahwanee Hotel and also the Wawona hotel (run by the same company), and their food was good. We loved the National Park, but will stay outside of the park next time. There is just no value to this hotel.
