"Not a great stay. The.room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very average. Not what I was expecting due to the price of the room. The pool was monopolized by a group eating and drinking, when the sign clearly stated that no food and drinks allowed in the pool area. The price seemed high for the property. Next time I will book a room at Holiday Inn or Hsmpton Inn. Very similarly priced and by driving to those properties they appeared to be much nicer. I just wanted to share my thoughts. Keeping in mind this was my experience. Thanks"

"Our stay at Deer Haven was great. We appreciated the heads up on the driving directions, the gps pretty much got us there but it was nice knowing it might be a little confusing."

"Front desk staff, excellent. The gentlemen was nice and polite. The room has a good AC. Cleanliness is ok, not great but ok. Bed are comfortable. Area is quiet, love that. Room do have a microwave but I did not use it. Microwave is small. Room also have a small fridge. Work well. There is a small TV too. I like this motel. Would I come back? Yes!"

"Beautiful setting with fantastic space in front to sit, relax, read et al. My room was as pictured in the booking information and in keeping with a historic facility. Parking is limited if there are other events going on there but they are fine with parking along the entrance/exit streets. Breakfast setting is beautiful; food was average. No substitutions rule was off-putting. I didn't get the feeling that people working there were very happy but they did the work well. Entertainment settings are within and beside the front lobby which can be loud and somewhat uncomfortable when coming and going when not part of the events. I'd recommend requesting a room towards the ends of the building to avoid the events sounds. Also recommend asking for room to back of building to avoid bright front lights shining in the room and the sounds of people arriving. Fantastic to have spa downstairs and nice bistro like restaurant as well. Overall, I'm glad I chose this facility."

"It's all about location. It's best to be in the mountains at sunrise and sunset. They have improved a few rooms. The beds are comfortable and pillows too. Place is clean and maintained. The grounds are very nice but.....I guess the park department doesn't care about the view. Don't ask for a room with a view because they only have 2 or 3. They trees have grown so much they have no view of the valley. Total shame. The price is so much better from Expedia.....the park service site wants more than double the price. I'll never go thru the park department again."
