Witney is a small market town on the River Windrush in Oxfordshire. The traditional local industry was making woolen blankets, and examples of this craft can be found in the Witney and District Museum. Children are entertained at the Cogges Manor Farm Museum--a working Victorian farm--and the town makes a good base for exploring the picturesque Cotswold Hills.
