Check in via remote was a total pain. The lady on the phone was polite, that kept me going despite my frustration... email said i could abort registration and do it at front desk, which i was told by phone not possible. Also no idea where site was until registere via phone. I do not like how check in was at all, all else was passable, parking should be included...

Great location to blackcomb ski in ski out
Here for a couples weekend in late September great location for the blackcomb gondola 150m away close to whistler village approximately 400 Very comfortable accommodations but the pools and Jacuzzis were the absolute best Downside. Couldn't find the parking access code very easily and the access codes to public areas was a pain but dont let that dtop you

Perfect location next to the slopes. The balcony (unit 356) looks out on the slope and Blackcomb Gondola. Clean and comfortable. One issue: bring your condiments if you plan to cook in the unit. There was only a little salt and pepper in the unit.

Nice and Clean
The room provided was great. Clean and lots of windows. Quiet area and close to the village. Check in was different as the details to get into the room is provided at a nearby hotel (downhill of the suite, I assume they're doing the property management). Also, they didn't provide me the complete door code, so had to call the hotel. Check out was easy.

Slopeside access was amazing, view was great, hot tubs were great. Fireplace great bed comfortable. at times the hotwater wasn't very hot.

WORST STAY OF A TWO WEEK TRIP - stay anywhere else
1/10 and that’s being generous! The property is marketed as a hotel but it’s actually not. It’s individually owned condos that one firm manages seasonal rentals for. The only good thing about this property is that it’s located in a convenient area. Here are all the things that made me hate my stay: no AC except for one bedroom, DIRTY linens - isn’t white supposed to be the standard colour for hotel linens? We were sleeping with comforters that looked about 50 years old, I managed to get a picture of the stain on my pillow - YUCK!!! Old and such dark poorly- lit rooms that are super dated and don’t present nicely at all, parking is expensive as anything and the spots are so tiny and tight esp if you are driving an SUV like 90% of people - you’ll definitely get your car dinged no matter how carefully you park! We didn’t have enough pillows so I called front desk and oh wait - the phone is disconnected!! Probably because they don’t want you to make calls to complain or ask for things which they apparently can’t give you because it’s not a hotel. We asked for pillows and they said oh well we can’t because the room comes with whatever is in it. When we explained that we didn’t have the number of pillows needed per what they said we would have, a guy wearing NO MASK came to our room and gave us ONE PILLOW, not in a bag or plastic or anything. Do they understand that travellers need extra assurances during Covid to feel safe staying at properties? I can’t say anything positive

Dear Noor, Thank you for you feedback. I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your stay. I humbly apologise for the stained pillow sham. I agree with you, this is unacceptable. I wish you could have advised us at the time and we could have supplied some clean, white pillow cases immediately. When you called us asking for an extra pillow, that is what we brought you. The pillow was brand new out of a plastic bag. I then put the pillow into a brand new pillow protector and case before driving up to drop it off to you. Your assertion that I was not wearing a mask is incorrect. Did your daughter (who answered the door) tell you I wasn't wearing a mask? I can assure you that I was, and do so for any guest interaction. I'm sorry if the duvet cover pattern was not to your liking; I will mention it to the unit owner. You are correct that the Aspens is not a 'Hotel' in the traditional sense. It is a condo building and each condo is individually owned and may be rented out by any of the many property management companies in town, or even privately. As such, things do work a bit differently to a full-service hotel, but we try to provide a similar level of service for our guests. Half of Whistler is set up like this. In regards to the parking garage, in my 8 years in the job I have not been down there, but I have no trouble believing the spots are tight. There are many complexes in Whistler with small-ish spots, though I can't say we've ever had a guest advise us of any damage while at the Aspens. Did you actually sustain any damage? If so this should be reported to the RCMP, as they may be able to access CCTV footage. The $17 parking charge is also one of the cheapest in Whistler and clearly stated at time of booking. You'll pay $40 right next door to self-park at the Fairmont. I do apologise that there was no phone in the unit. As these units are privately owned some Owners choose not to provide a phone as everyone has mobiles nowadays. I don't agree with this mentality, but we can't force them to unfortunately. The AC is the bedroom is more that a lot of complexes in Whistler have. I can't think of any that have multiple AC units per suite. Whistler was originally built as a ski town. Summers used to be cooler and far less busy. I hope you were also able utilise the portable fan in the closet. If you would like to discuss the matter further, I would be more than happy to. Great location but interior and property lacking
The condo and property could both use some serious TLC. The one bedroom condo was completely outdated and missing basic cookware and appliances that you would expect with a kitchen, there was no storage or place to hang ski gear, and the bed and pull out couch should have been replaced. The property had three hot tubs but Only one was properly working - one was just drained and an eyesore. You certainly can’t beat the ski-in/ski-out location, but for as much money as we spent on the condo we expected the property to be better. In the future we won’t stay here again and will go back to staying at legends at creekside.

We have not been made aware of any maintenance happening on the hot tubs in the Aspen building and I will be certainly following this up. The property does have an older feel as do many properties in Whistler which we believe adds to the typical Ski Town sought-out charm. The Aspens Are a collection of private Lyons condominiums. As a result, each unit is in different condition and others. We stayed in unit 264. The unit was clean but is extremely dated and needs to be redone to be competitive. The remainder of the amenities are good – ski valet, pool and hot tub with a very small gym. Location is ideal.

Had a lovely stay at the Aspens on Blackcomb!
Our family of 4 had a great stay from 14-25 December 2018. Check-in/out was fuss-free, the location was excellent (1-min walk to the slopes), the staff was friendly, and the ski valet service was a bonus. The apartment was clean and equipped, wifi was good too. Would definitely come back! :)

Walkable to nearby area. On a free bus route if you don't want to walk down the hill. The garage entrance is a bit tricky when a car going out and coming in at the same time

Comfortable and convenient
