Great Little Place
Great place to stay. Room was very spacious (esp. after dogbox in Auckland) clean and tidy. OK, it is not new, but everything was in working order and full stove, fridge and microwave, plus plenty of utensils, made cooking easy. They also have a small, but adequate, gym on site. We had to hole up here during Cyclone Gabrielle and it was fine for the three nights we stayed. Staff and owners were very helpful and chatty. Bonus was being able to watch T20 Womens World Cup on TV!

great place to stay , only 5 mins drive out of Whangarei CBD. faster than the drive across town, beautiful setting, great restaurant and bar , Excellent bloody marys !, conditioning well up to par, nice soaking in a hot bath, also has a coin operated washer and dryer so its a great oasis in the middle of a long trip

The room had no air conditioning or insect screens on windows. Problems also encountered with access to wifi

How correct we don't have air conditioning nor dose other Motels with similar room rate. If anybody has issues with the WiFi and come to us we sort out the solution as soon as we can, we use the Zenbu Control system which is an international provider.

Our room was spotlessly clean. Everything was comfortable which made us feel at home for our stay. The owners were lovely and we were given a small bottle of milk by them on arrival which was much appreciated! Supermarket is very close, in walking distance which we made use of. This was our favourite place we stayed during our trip. Relaxing and overall great experience.

I stayed here for one night in a standard studio room with a comfortable bed, excellent shower, kitchenette with fridge/cooker/microwave, portable fan. Friendly welcome on arrival, easy parking, large supermarket two minutes walk away (and I recommend Hell pizzeria nearby too).

This is a very clean motel. If you’re tired of run-down Motels, you’ll like this one. The furniture is modern and the unit we were in certainly exceeded our expectations. Great value for money.

Found a gem in Whangarei!
Great welcome from Jenny. Loved being able to shut off the main bed with a concertina door. Good shower, although some ventilation, apart from open window, would be good. Very little road noise as we had back unit. Very handy to New World and Countdown supermarkets and many eating choices nearby. Good access to CBD and main arterial route. Free wifi was good. Good laundry facilities. Staff were very considerate.

Situated next door to a supermarket, this is a central spot for a self service stopover to see Whjangarei and its surroundings. The service was unobtrusive and faultless, and the accommodation spacious and clean.

Pleasant Motel in suburbs and handy to surpermarke
Friendly welcome, very clean unit, but cold on arrival (it was a cold day/evening). It warmed up fairly quickly after switching on electric fan heater that was in unit. Great bed but sheets overly starched (crispy) for our liking.
