This property was easy to find, close to downtown and very easy parking included. We had a rental car and were touring around the island and needed a safe room, a shower and comfortable beds. The room was decorated nice and the manager was very helpful We wouldn't arrive until late (driving is slow on the NZ winding roads) and let them know and they arranged our key pickup. The room was decorated colorfully. The beds were comfortable, there was a microwave and mini-fridge. We stayed there our last night in NZ and packed up and headed to the airport later that day. Great little motel.

Room was a bit small but very clean; comfy and had everything that you would need.

Was greeted upon arrival by the friendly lady at the front desk. She was able to direct us to the waterfront for our dinner plans.

Great find
Lovely place, immaculately clean bathroom with a wonderful shower. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Comfy beds.

this property was very clean and the room was good. the airconditioning was a little cold and hard to change. also the road noise was a little noisy. i did think it was a little expensive but am not very up to date on pricing.

As for the road noise as we are on the main highway north this can be a problem at times. We do hope that you will consider us again if you are up this way.

Fix the illuminated sign on the street front and turn it on: it lets the place down when it’s broken and makes it harder to spot at night

Thank you for your recent review. With regards to our sign not being illuminated, we are awaiting parts to arrive for it. Once these arrive it will be fixed. We re very sorry for the inconvenience that this caused everyone, but having the sign turned on blows all the lights at the Motel so it is better to not have it turned on until fixed.

A straight forward Motel. Some innovative approaches to the stay such as bin for recycling and milk for tea in reusable glass bottles. The only bad experience was the Third Party Booking from the useless, Expedia.

I do know that after talking to the manager that she spoke to you on numerous occasions as she was going about the complex. We were very short staffed over that weekend as well. Absolutely delighted by the quality of the hotel and facilities. Everything was spot on. Room had a fridge, A sink, set of plates and cutleries, coffee, tea, cookies, high quality bathroom, tv, iron. Pretty much anything you can think of, was just there. Even provided with a bottle of milk. Changed the towels on daily basis. Room service was great. Price was reasonable for all the facilities, Highly recommend it.

Excellent Motel
Excellent experience in this well managed motel. Spotless and comfortable room. We were in a "Compact Queen Studio" and it was spacious enough for 2 people. Very well equipped with all necessities for a great stay. Easy access to the many attractions of Whangarei.

We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us.Reception did call you on the morning of your check-out as you were still here well after the check-out time to ask what time you were leaving as the room needed to be cleaned for the next guest. If you had required a late check-out, you could of asked and paid for that. We have a 10am check-out so the rooms can be ready for the next quest.
