Ideal place to stay
Sue was so quick to answer queries and very accommodating. The home is cute and quiet, and it’s lovely to be near to the sea. Would happily stay here again.

I loved the atmosphere the property gives. The nod to the previous renovations adds character and tells a story. Quiet location and parking was good. Sue was a dream to deal with and I would stay again and recommend others in the future.

Basic unit in need of a number of repairs
The initial impression of the unit was good but upon using the space we found the bathroom tap was loose and leaking, one burner on the stove did not work, wall paper strip was off and the sitting area couch was very saggy and uncomfortable. You need to pull out onto the road near the crest of a curve so it was hard to see oncoming traffic, and there were limited restaurants nearby.

Beautiful house and perfect location so close to the beach. Was a bit disappointed that I had been accused by a neighbour of having a dog on our holiday as we had just checked in from our flight from chch. I felt a bit watched after that. Also I wasn’t overly impressed with cleanliness of the master room. I had to change the sheets. Was told to not open Windows due to hrv system, sometimes it was so hot it appeared to be controlled by tenants upstairs as I couldn’t find a control box and it seemed to heat up at night. Aside from these things we loved the location most of all and the convenience of being near the beach.

The photos don’t lie - Great location, fabulous host. Beautiful and comfortable with plenty of heating. Lovely decor. Only short drive to fabulous view, cafes and shops. Free parking on site and great value for $ We’ll be back!

For our needs we had the perfect property and host, prior to check in we communicated via Book a Batch and then via txt. Sue was always prompt and friendly with replies. Nothing was too much trouble. Gorgeous little property with good sized bedrooms. Beautiful furnished with personal touches here and there. Bedding was beautiful and beds super comfy! We had everything we needed as per the description. See you again next year!

Quiet, but close to everything.
A beautifully decorated and furnished property in easy reach of all the tourist attractions. Only 5-10 minutes by car to Te Papa, Weta Workshops, downtown Wellington, Botanic gardens etc. It was a real bonus for us having a proper gas cooker - we were able to cook some lovely meals and freeze them for later on our holiday. We would have liked a few more cooking utensils and another saucepan, but we did manage well enough with what we had. Loved having a washing machine and outdoor clothes line to use. The only downside for us was the 4pm check-in. We much prefer to arrive around 2pm at most places. All in all, a lovely stay, thank you!

A quiet comfortable place
A quiet place, nicely appointed but no milk supplied. If we had not had a car it would have been quite a walk to get it and the place is at the top of a large hill. Otherwise a comfortable stay

Beautiful villa in Island Bay. Cozy and relaxing getaway as described. Very comfortable beds and lovely heating system in rooms. Lovely towels in bathroom! Excellent communication with property manager. Only stayed for two nights, but will definitely stay here again if visiting Wellington!

Cosy and warm.
Nice and comfortable accommodation. Comfortable beds and good to have some off street parking. Reasonably central and was nice and quiet. Oven was good though one of the elements on the gas hob didn't work properly. We like to cook ourselves and having just two pots and a frying pans was a little lean. Having some tongs in the utensil drawer would have been helpful. Given that one cannot check in until 4pm, it might be an idea to consider having a slightly later check out of 11am? Would certainly recommend this accommodation though.

A lovely spot.
We loved our stay at the “farm house cottage”. Close to the city but also far enough to avoid the city hassles. Enjoyed the walk around the Island Bay foreshore. Excellent communication with Sue. Would not hesitate to go back to the “farm house cottage “ again.
