the rooms were exactly as pictured nice and welcoming and quiet, we were very happy with our stay from the nice night time view of the lights to the top notch food from the restaurant. we would definitly stay again thanks guys

Don’t be fooled by the 4 star rating.
Place is long over due for a make over. Poor maintenance and cleaning, hand marks on mirror, dust build up on pedestal fan blades, around light switches and heater. Could go on but that’s enough to put you off. Reception needs to learn a bit about how to receive their customers. First impressions at arrival from reception was very poor and seemed like that just wanted to hurry up and get my money. Probably before I could see the room and cancel. Tip - ask to see the room before paying. Wouldn’t stay here again. Star rating must have been from 20 years ago, it was probably quite nice back then.

I love the spa pool and separate upstairs bedroom. The outlook is lovely as well. Just needs a bit of paint and update the kitchen

The location is convenient, close to the motorway. Too close to the motorway when you have the windows open. Run down, no air conditioning, one fan. Hot plates in Room M don’t work, no stove. Probs won’t stay again.

The main support beams for the second floor in our room were all badly cracked and unsafe. Everything was covered in dust and the room smelt strong of curry.

Spacious and Convenient
The room was a good size including a kitchenette, with a modernised bathroom. There was a small electric heater but it provided sufficient heating on a cold night. Very convenient to catch the ferry next morning and to Johnsonville shopping centre. Only minor criticism is that the bedspreads were rather old and marked and could do with being replaced. Would definitely stay here again

Summer travel
Beds are good enough for 6 people, tidy and clean. Kitchen has microwave but no cook tub or oven. Toilet and bathroom looks new and clean but no ventilators so have to open window when showering and only has liquid soap there, no shampoos. Plenty of towels. Upstairs are very hot, have to use two fans on and still hot, window is there but I didn't opened it because afaid of insects to come in when sleeping 😴

Really convenient location Perfect for an early morning ferry trip just 10 minutes down the road. Very helpful happy staff. Good wholesome dinner. Room was clean warm and comfortable .good bathroom and shower pressure !

A good choice when in Wellington for business
This is maybe the 4th or 5th time we've stayed here and it hasn't changed much over the years. The main reasons that we keep returning are 1) The location. We have multiple appointments in all directions within Wellington and the Capital Gateway is centrally located to everywhere. 2) Easy access. It's a minute off SH1 so very easy to get in an out of. 3) Onsite restaurant that serves decent hearty food and reasonable prices. All of the above make for a very convenient place to stay when in Wellington for business. It ain't the Ritz but it's comfortable enough.

Overnight stay and throughly enjoyed the free parking for our ute and trailer, electric blankets, heaters, etc. Accommodated all our needs with 5 adults travelling. Easy access from motorway and short drive to eateries.

Had a wonderful time :)
We booked in for 3 nights for a birthday celebration at the hotel's function center. The staff were amazing. The food was excellent and the property owners went an extra mile by allowing us to celebrate till midnight. Loved the upstairs en-suite! Large, comfortable and clean with daily service. Would highly recommend.
