Quiet stay outside the city hustle
We fell in love with Wasilla and the ease of getting anywhere from the house. It was still an easy drive to Anchorage to check out top attractions and look for moose. This home is a short ride to several lovely trails and lakes and is on a quiet dead end street. Host was easy to reach with quick response when I reached out. The kitchen is well equipped, they have games on hand, and a lovely gas fireplace. I would just be aware there are several steep stairs, I was traveling with my husband’s aunt and my parents and would have made other arrangements had I been aware so just sharing with others.

The home was very roomy, quiet and everything we needed. Just as pictured. Hosts were great to ask questions. All the supplies in kitchen were there for cooking. I were not home for dinner but it would of been great. My grandkids love playing hide and seek. there are many rooms. We hope to stay again.

Amazing Stay
I stayed in Abby’s Cottage with my husband and 6 children! Not only was the cottage well stocked with necessities, but also clean and quite roomy! The host had great communication and was quick to respond to any messages/questions! They were gracious and put a tree with ornaments at the house for our kiddos to keep the Christmas spirit alive while away from home! The views around the cottage were gorgeous! The cottage is right outside of Wasilla, which made town runs extremely easy and quick! Very country feel! We are extremely pleased with this stay and plan to stay again!

Our stay at Abby's Cottage was just perfect for our needs. It was close to commercial/professional offices/stores, yet located in a very rural setting. The home was very clean and well maintained. Tim and Felicia were very resposive to our needs and were excellent hosts. We would stay at this home again in the future.

4 SISTERS GET TOGETHER!
Our oldest sister lives near the house but her small house wasn’t big enough for us other 3 sisters who flew from MT and TX to celebrate her 80th birthday! We enjoyed the cabin and had a great time! Wish we could have stayed another 4 nights! Did have a bit of a time finding the turn in a few times. Sign is a bit covered by foliage. But us ladies managed! I have to say downstairs bed is wonderful!! Felt like I was at home! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us and for the great communication! 💜

Charming and Cozy Cabin with a Beautiful View
We had a great time in Wasilla and loved our stay at Abby’s Cabin. Very cozy and comfortable and in a fantastic area. Felicia was extremely accommodating and quick with responding. We would love to come back again some day!

Great little cottage with everything you need. Very comfortable.
This home had everything visitors would need. Very east to sign up for, a wonderful location tucked back in the woods next to many other homes, horses, etc. The owner was very responsive to questions and assistance. All the amenities of home, washer dryer, 3 bedrooms with locks on doors, 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen and a very nice living room with large TV and on demand fireplace.

Absolutely enjoyed my stay at Felicia’s “Abby’s” cottage. Very equipped kitchen with quality cookware. Plenty of room for quests. Within minutes of everything you could need. Groceries, restaurants, sporting goods and local natural wonders. Wasilla is a fabulous place and very close enough to everything Alaskan you would want to experience. 5 stars in my book. The Alaskan animals encounter is the icing on that cupcake for sure. Very accommodating hostess. You’ll love it.

Perfect family getaway.
The house was perfect for our family getaway! Super comfy beds and plenty of space for everyone. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. The location is convenient to stores but with a great out of the way feel. My two horse loving girls loved having the stables right next door. Would definitely stay again!!

Alaska Family Vacation
We had a great time. This property was exactly as advertised and a perfect spot for our family. We had all the kitchen supplies we needed. There were plenty of towels. There was a pack and play and high chair which was very helpful for the baby. There was an outside grill which we didn't see on the listing but were happy to make use of. We had six adults and two children and there was plenty of space of all of us. The views were beautiful. So happy that we decided to stay outside of the city.

Quiet, peaceful location
We were a group of 4 older adults and really enjoyed our stay at Abby's Cottage. We had some busy days in Seward and wanted a quieter location closer to the airport before flying home, without having to stay in Anchorage. The location was perfect for daily outings and the kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals in the evenings. The hosts left a list of things to do and places to visit which was appreciated due to a couple rainy days which caused us to change some of our plans. The hosts contacted us to see if we had any questions and to make sure our stay was going well. We would stay here again if we make another trip to that area of Alaska.

Country feel close to Wasilla
My family (ages 8 - 71) spent 3 nights at the cottage to kick off our Alaskan vacation. We arrived late at night and the check-in process was simple. It was an easy drive from Anchorage. Kitchen was already stocked with all the necessities we needed for the first night and breakfast. House was very comfortable. The location was a good base for day trips to Willow, Talkeetna, and Palmer. It was nice feeling like you were in the country but all conveniences were within 5 minutes. Felicia was great and checked in with us to make sure we had all that we needed. She was also quick to respond after we left and realized that we had a left a stuffed animal and quickly arranged to get the animal to us! We would definitely stay at the cottage again!!

Extremely Comfortable
We have 2 dogs so it makes finding the right place tough. This property was absolutely perfect for us! The house is very homey and comfortable. After driving up the Alcan highway it was the perfect spot to take a time out and relax. The kitchen is very user friendly and there is a great bath tub to soak in. The dinning room table is perfect to work from and the downstairs bedroom was dark (in the summer when it stays light) and super comfortable. The neighborhood is perfect for walking dogs. I loved having access to a washer and dryer after a long drive. The house has character and I cannot say enough good about this place! We will be back to relax after our working season. We really felt at home.

Serene Alaska getaway!
What a great property to stay at! It was very clean, easy to find, amazing views and the tub 😍. Felicia and Tim were very helpful with any questions and the property is located in a great location to stores, food and shops! Such a quiet neighborhood with amazing views out the living room window and the beds were all very comfortable! Spacious and nice place to stay at while in the Wasilla area
Though somewhat off the beaten path to get to, Felicia was very detailed and helpful on how to get there. After a couple of times driving around and coming back, it became easy to get to. There was plenty of space with 2 bedrooms upstairs and a massive master bedroom in the basement level. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything needed to cook with for the few days we stayed. Great place and nice owners.

While the property was perfect for our family, the owner was poor at communication. The first night of our reservation, I was having a hard time finding the property. I called the owner several times and left a voicemail. Fortunately, we found the home. The owner never followed up with me. He called an hour before checkout, upset that he was unaware that my 5 children and our 2 dogs had accompanied me. He said he would have to charge me more, since we used extra towels and all bedding would have to be washed. Gross - all the bedding should be washed when you rent the entire house out. I admit I made an error in the final reservation (I became tired of entering every detail of my travel in my search, and did not double check my final reservation). I was irritated that he would charge extra after the fact, and that he did not attempt to contact me until I was nearing checkout time.

This location was perfect for Alaska locals wanting to get away for a weekend retreat. The house was very spacious, fully stocked kitchen, bathrooms, and all supplies. The location was a bit tricky to find in the dark, but an easy to navigate and beautiful spot.

Perfect for all our needs
A very comfortable peaceful location and centrally located for all our activities. Loved the neighborhood with the horse farm next door. The yard was beautiful with all the fireweed blooming and mountains in the background. And thankful for the use of fire pit and grill. The cottage was very clean and hosts readily available. We appreciated the recliners that my husband needed but the couch was comfortable as well. Very spacious and homey. Appreciated having all the channels for our down time too. The beds upstairs comfortable but steps going upstairs are steep and I would not recommend them for older visitors. However steps going downstairs were fine and the master bedroom very spacious and had all the amenities needed for our two week stay. The shower upstairs didn’t have great pressure but the shower downstairs was wonderful and very roomy. We would definitely recommend this rental to families because of how spacious it was inside and out. Thank you Tim and Felicia

Nice Place but Took Our $125 Damage Deposit
Two moms and two teenage daughters had a lovely stay at Abby's Cottage until we left a water bottle on the table near the front door, just inside the entryway. The water bottle condensed slightly and the table which had a thin veneer top delaminated underneath. We had no idea the table could not handle a water bottle placed on it and were charged the full damage fee. I would be fine with this if we had known that the table could not withstand a water bottle placed on it and there were coasters and a sign about the delicate nature of the veneer table. We have table runners and coasters on all our tables in our rentals and they are not even veneer. We felt really set up on this one as we always leave rentals in very good condition. We would have recommended Abby's to lots of friends and travelers but definitely will not now.

This guest would have recommended us had We not Followed VRBO's Advice. After trying to work out the repair or replacement of our table to no avail, VRBO was contacted and advised to take the full damage deposit due to the fact that the cost to repair or replace the wooden dining room table far exceeded $125. VRBO even counseled us to cancel a 3 day reservation immediately follwoing this stay.

My husband and I stayed about Abby's Cottage for a week in February. The location is great! Easy access to both Palmer and Wasilla. The house had everything we could have asked for. Great views too! I would definitely stay here again.

Great location!
We were very happy with our stay at the cottage. The location was a huge plus! Easy to get to stores and restaurants but you still feel like you are away from the city. Very clean and set up nicely.
