This was the first hotel to come up when looking into where to stay. Very nice, clean and easily walking distance to the White House and all other things to see. The beds were good. The bathroom was beautiful. There was a little kitchen in the room as well as a refrigerator. They have a gym and restaurant downstairs. Overall my stay was good and if I do come again I will be booking my stay here again.

Hotel is descent if you you have a short stay in DC. There’s way better hotels in the vicinity, but the price here is convenient. Breakfast at the restaurant was horrible and pricey. Salty pancakes (I don’t know how a cook can go wrong with pancakes, but this restaurant did) were extremely disappointing. My wife and I paid over $100 for a bad breakfast for two!! You live and learn. Room was fine.

It did the job. It is rather old. For the price per night, it is not worth it. No ramps or disability access from F street.

Some of the staff like the doormen were wonderful ! The breakfast crew equally wonderful but during weekends not to have a restaurant to serve exhausted guests who came by car from Other states is not acceptable on that price range hotel that even charges 48 dollars for parking per night . If I can I won’t stay at the hotel again anytime soon .

We loved the location of the State Plaza. So close to the Lincoln Memorial by walking. Loved the quiet neighborhood. The staff were very nice. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, but most required an Uber. The room was neat and clean and the nearly full size kitchen was honestly a surprise. Furnished with dishes and all. We really liked the feel of the room.

I stayed at the State Plaza Hotel for one night to be near a family event. The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing me to check in early, and even held my bag for a few hours after I checked out while I attended my event. The room itself was spacious, almost like a studio apartment. I found the bed and overall room to be comfortable. What's more, the hotel's location was excellent -- just a 10-minute walk to the National Mall. All in all, though the hotel doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some people may require, this modest hotel is a great value for its location, comfort, and welcoming staff.

Hotel location was very convenient for what we were there to do. Staff was friendly, our room was clean with kitchen. Lots of options for dinning (walkable) and 10 min walk to Lincoln Memorial. Close to metro station.

Had a great 1 night stay. Friendly staff, and well kept hotel, particularly because it looked to bw an older hotel that was updated. I couldn't get complimentary early check-in nor late check-out due to the hotel being at full capacity, but it worked out since their check-out time was at 12 pm, which ia great. In the room, which had 2 beds was spacious, had 3 bottles of water, coffee, tea, ice in the refrigerator too! Reason I chose this hotel was due to the reviews, the convenience of an 18 min walk to the Washington Monument for a running related race. Would definitely stay again.

A camp of homeless across the street and a homeless man greeting us by standing at my car when we arrived was not the best welcome. My next surprise was being told about the pricey, additional, unlisted charge for parking my car. The day I booked two months ago I called the hotel to ask about parking and if we could park early before check-in and was told absolutely and there was no mention that it would be an additional charge on top of the booking. That would have been an ideal time to address it since it was not listed on the charges when booking. I booked for 3 adults and the room only had towels for two people. The AC did not work, it only blew hot air, so we had to open the windows without screens. Otherwise, the room was clean and spacious.

I couldn’t take a shower because the water wasn’t hot enough and the tv didn’t work until I pulled the furniture away from the wall to play with the wires…unfortunately I didn’t think of that until the next morning. I did love the kitchenette. There was nowhere to get coffee early in the morning (5am) so having the coffee maker was good. Also happy to have the toaster and refrigerator. Parking wasn’t bad but I couldn’t figure out how to get back into the garage to get my car. I walked around looking for an access door for 15 min until I finally called the attendant on the key pad and she let me in. There were signs telling you where to go but I never found a door where indicated.

Location was conveniently located close to the mall and eating locations. The on-site restaurant was also convenient and had a friendly staff and good food. The hotels staff was helpful and polite and answered many of our questions.

The building is very old, it has a very old ‘motel’ look and feel. The neighborhood is not that clean. Full of homeless tents within the same block. I regret booking this hotel, next time I’ll be booking a hotel near the whitehouse

Great location to be able to walk to Lincoln memorial or the waterfront or to Georgetown etc. Also great that you can get a full kitchen! A money-saver if you want for breakfast or if you prefer to cook food or need to keep leftovers from all the amazing restaurants. If not full, great underground parking garage too. Bus stop is super close and Metro not far either.

Excellent location. The rooms are huge!! It was perfect for us traveling with two teenage boys. The dressing room separate from the bathroom made traveling with the fam so easy. And the kitchen made eating breakfast and late night snacks super easy. The under building parking is excellent. So convenient. The room was a bit warm but they delivered a fan and we were comfortable! All of the staff was extremely friendly and so very helpful. Plus, umbrellas for the rainy days we had while there. Cant say enough good things. Very conveniently located without being in a busy area. Just three blocks to a market and three blocks to the metro or an easy walk to Lincoln Memorial and the Mall area.

An impeccably nice and clean place to stay in the GWU area, very comfortable mattresses and pillows; we felt safe at all times, although you may find homeless tents camping a block from the hotel. Limited parking spots on site but excellent connection with public transportation.
