The staff make the place! It’s a lovely hotel but the people, from the valet and front desk, to the restaurant inside, were all so friendly, respectful, helpful, and effortlessly efficient. Looking forward to staying again soon. Thanks
Restaurant at the hotel. Server guy was slow and not focused. Took wrong order. Didn’t pay attention for order. Other than that good hotel. Def will come back

There should be 2 complimentary bottles of water in every room. Are you sure you did not see water bottles by the TV? If not. I am so sorry. They should have been there.

The service was excellent, front desk, restaurant, and room cleaning. The shower had the best water pressure I have ever experienced anywhere. The property is an old building, and doors were squeaky. And I would have been happier with a refrigerator and microwave, but these are not customary in fine hotels like this one.

The location is terrific - lots of options for dinner out within walking distance. The property is clean, although it is tired and outdated. Bathroom is spacious enough but needed to be upgraded; tile is not in good shape. No refrigerator. Biggest issue for me was lack of restaurant or bar at night. I stayed Mon-Wed nights and it wasn’t ever possible to eat there at night or even get a glass of wine. Staff was functional but not gracious or very friendly. When I left this morning at 6am, there was no coffee available in the lobby and the restaurant was dark. Not very customer focused, in my opinion. The price is 4stars, but the rooms, the service and amenities are not.

I know I’m paying for location, but this is one of the most mediocre properties that I’ve stayed in this year. I’m paying a not insignificant amount of money and this hotel has no charm or character whatsoever even though it’s on the historic register. My room is small and the furnishings are unremarkable. Bathroom is also small. Lobby and bar are also rather plain and lacking in character or ambience. For convenience to Georgetown, it’s great but I could get a much nicer place across the bridge in Foggy Bottom.

We are sorry you did not find our staff to be friendly. Our walls are made of Plaster. The hotel ws built in 1962. We do not have thin walls. There must have been some very loud guest near your room. I am sorry you had noisy people near you.

We are sorry for the noise you had to deal with. Not having carpet is the new way hotels are being done. It has much less dirt build up. Carpet and rugs hold oder and bacteria.
Loved staying in Georgetown Inn, place is nice clean nicely located to everyithing , except the Capital during the rush hour

Saturday night stay
The lobby is under construction which I was not made aware of prior to arrival. The king bed in our room was very comfortable however the closet space is so minimal the bathroom is also not private. it has glass panels with openings and a sliding barn type door that doesn’t really close all the way. the bathroom and closet situation would not have me stay there again.
