The Jefferson is really the leader in Washington's luxury hotels. There are lots of great hotels there, but none with the combination of staff graciousness, attention to detail, intimate scale, and truly refined atmosphere that made my stay at the Jefferson perfect.

lovely clean apartment good size only problem when we arrived concierge couldn't find our key. He had to confirm our booking with the head office & we had to wait 30 mins to gain access to apartment. Slightly worrying 30 minutes! Other than that great place to stay!

We were looking for a nice hotel, small and within easy walking distance to most the museums and memorials and Hotel Lombardy fit the bill. It is quaint and quiet, classy and reasonable. The bar is cozy and fun for a drink before you head out for the fun night life in DC. It's only a 15 minute cab ride to Reagan International Airport and if you don't mind walking, it's within distance to most everything DC has to offer.

My family and I stay at this hotel whenever we travel to Washington, which is at least twice a year. It is convenient to the Metro, the City's sites, and college campuses. The kitchens have all the basics. The hotel offers a grocery service.

From the moment my boyfriend and I got there it was a wonderful experience. The doorman was friendly and directed us to the counter where we were given a complimentary upgrade because it was our first time in the hotel. The junior suite was beautiful and spacious. There was a business center so we could get some work done whilst at the hotel as well as a fitness area on our floor. We also had brunch at the St Gregory on Sunday and the food and service was immaculate. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to DC that wants a great experience.
