The Jefferson is really the leader in Washington's luxury hotels. There are lots of great hotels there, but none with the combination of staff graciousness, attention to detail, intimate scale, and truly refined atmosphere that made my stay at the Jefferson perfect.

lovely clean apartment good size only problem when we arrived concierge couldn't find our key. He had to confirm our booking with the head office & we had to wait 30 mins to gain access to apartment. Slightly worrying 30 minutes! Other than that great place to stay!

So pleased we chose to stay at The River Inn! From the moment we arrived to a warm welcome and helpful advice from Dwight, to the time we left - early morning - in a taxi booked for us by the hotel, we had nothing but praise for the facilities and even more for all the staff. The rooms are big, fresh and airy, with a very comfortable bed, big comfy chairs, a kitchenette with full size refrigerator, microwave and cooktop, iron and ironing board, a well presented bathroom and dressing room with excellent lighting - in fact, all the amenities. The Metro station is about 3 minutes walk through a very pretty neighbourhood, and there's a small cluster of restaurants, cafes and shops within 4 minutes walk, including an excellent Whole Foods Market that definitely outclasses my big local supermarket! Georgetown, with lots of lively restaurants, bars and shops, is a 10 minute stroll away. The hotel's own restaurant is also very pleasant. It's quite easy to walk to lots of the major monuments from the hotel, but the Metro is also very convenient for getting around. Love this place!

Check-in was a breeze. It was my birthday and the manager was terrific in upgrading my rtoom! How cool is that. Everyone was friendly and helpful - I was directed to a lovely restaurant for some of the best cappucino and cake. Spotless room. Fantastic location - walking distance to beautiful Georgetown and many restaurants. I had a fantastic time and would stay here again.

The Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms and public areas are very clean and well kept. There is a restaurant-bar adjacent to the hotel that has good food and attentive staff. There is a Walgreens and Star bucks
across the street. It's very easy to get a cab outside the hotel. Overall, we had a great stay, and look forward to staying there again in the future.

We have stayed here before, and certainly will again. The hotel staff is most accommodating. We have students in DC and were traveling with grandparents and dogs and needed two suites. They were helpful and cooperative when I needed to change one room. Valet was cheerful and helpful with our car and luggage. The restaurant was great for dinner and breakfast. This hotel is close to The National Mall and GW University. It is an easy walk to many restaurants and other venues, including Whole Foods and other campus spots.

We booked the hotel through a package deal and we were pleasantly surprised with our stay! The hotel is perfect distance to Georgetown, about a 10 minute walk, and the National Mall, about a 15 minute walk. It was also perfectly located close to the Foggy Bottom/GWU Blue/Orange/Silver Metro line stop. The bed was almost too comfy and we loved how spacious the room was. We had a small kitchen in our room, with a bit outdated appliances and aesthetics, but we didn't really use the kitchen so not a big deal. The bathroom was also a bit tiny, but again, we weren't really in the room much. The staff was friendly and always willing to help us out with catching a taxi or giving us the WiFi password. We would definitely stay at One Washington Circle again when we come back to DC!
