Pros: Location is the best thing the hotel has going for it - a few blocks from the Mall, a couple of blocks to two different Metro stops, and plenty of restaurant choices around. The room was fine, nothing stands out about it positive or negative, although we appreciated having a view that looked out toward Capital One Arena.
Cons: Our bathroom was a little old and needed some updating (worn areas on the tub and dated finishes). We tried to go to the indoor pool one afternoon and the water was cloudy to the point of not being able to see the bottom of the pool, so I wasn't about to let my 3-year-old swim in it. Also, parking is a racket here. You can drive literally to the other side of the block (on E St) to an Atlantic garage and pay $30/night, which at the time I visited was $20/nt less than the hotel charges.
Other: We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel given the steep prices, but there's a great coffee shop called Compass Coffee a couple of blocks away that has excellent cold brew and pastries.
Overall, the hotel met our needs. I place a higher priority on location over in-room comforts though, so if you plan on spending a lot of time in the room, it might not be the best choice. I'd stay there again.
