Felt like i was not wanted . Only one member of staff said hello . Check in took ages . Went to bar to get 2 drinks had been acknowledged by barman but when a group of 10 people turned up he ignored me and served them instead. No apology or anything . I felt like as just a couple we were not really wanted . The staff seemed more interested in big groups than just individual people or couples . I WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN . I STAYED AT THE ALVERSTONE EARLIER IN WEEK AND THAT IS 10 TIMES BETTER. ALSO STAYED AT THE LEONARDO HOTEL SOUTHAMPTON BIG HOTEL LIKE THIS ONE BUT FELT WELCOME AND NEEDED STAFF FRIENDLY ALWAYS SAID HELLO .

Found the check-in laborious not helped by the staff who couldn’t find our details we booked with Expedia and made us feel as though we’d made a mistake not booking direct Eventually got to our room but was moved to another room after complaining as this room was noisey

The hotel is very conenient to the royal shapespeare's threatre and shops etc. The breakfast is lovely with a good choice of what to eat. The view from the sitting area outside and in, over look the river which is lovely.

Location was good, lots of amenities and easy to park. Outside terrace area and grounds were lovely. Hotel room was functional, bathroom had a constant smell of sewage. Room was too warm and the aircon did not cool it down. Breakfast had a good selection of food but typical buffet style and hot food was dry from being left under heat lamps. All in all a very average stay and very pricey for what it was.

Property ideally situated to walk into town centre, pool and sauna room facilities were good. Room was ok although marks on carpet and couldn't work the air conditioning system therefore room was very warm.

Overall it was a very good stay. The hotel was very clean and the room was good except the bathroom was on the small side and the water pressure on the shower was a bit weak. The staff were very attentive. Other than the bathroom gripe I suppose the biggest complaint was lack of free parking for guests.

Spacious hotel in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. Nice bar and restuarant area. The hotel is spotlessly clean and parking was easy. Our room was nice. Not sure about the two single beds pushed together to make a super king. There was even two single duvets, so felt we were sleeping separately. The bathroom was very small and dated.

Staff were excellent. Our room wasnt ready at checkin time, they were apolgetic and offered us a drink in the bar. The staff across the whole hotel had a genuine caring and empathetic attitude to the guests which was nice. The facilities were great and walkable to RSC and town centre. Would recommend and stay here again. Ample parking at reasonable price for guests.

Had a lovely one night stay at Crowne Plaza and it was very enjoyable. The staff were so attentive and friendly throughout the hotel (especially at breakfast when they were so busy and had a few difficult customers to deal with!!) they dealt with everything so professionally and politely. Nothing too much trouble and all food was prepared to a high standard. Will definitely book again.

The hotel is well placed, especially for the theatre. There was a large function on the night we stayed, which led to a shambolic breakfast buffet. No indication of where the queue started (on a circular buffet) which meant very long delays. The pool area is nice and was quiet when we used it. The staff were very friendly

Positives: The reception, bar etc on the ground floor has a 'prestigious' feel to it, like a fancy big-city hotel. Room service was great, room itself was comfy, nice shower, great location, parking was expensive but lots of spaces so you can park nearby at least. Negatives: there was some kind of service door between my room and the adjacent room. It allowed a lot of the sounds and smells in from the adjacent room which made my experience unpleasant as I felt a lack of privacy and personal space. Also the door was not marked/signed, so on multiple occasions the people next door tried opening the door which was a bit scary. I have been subscribed to various spam emails from this hotel group and there is no easy option to unsubscribe. For these two reasons I have removed two stars from the rating. Won't be returning to this hotel again unfortunately.

Crowne Plaza good and poor.
Good points and poor points of note: Poor - no sky tv signal. Contacted reception, asked if we had a sky remote - we did not. He gave us a sky remote, said any other issues to contact again. Sky remote did not enable sky tv signal. Too late to get back to reception. Bulb in floor lamp did not work (checked myself with another bulb from desk lamp). Took bulb to reception who said maintenance would sort it. It was replaced later but floor switch did not work, could only be turned on/off by low down socket switch. Informed reception sky tv still did not work - maintenance will sort it out. Luckily we were in when maintenance arrived to look at tv. Sky box not plugged in at back of tv and sky box needed to be rebooted, then operational. While he was there I said the lamp floor switch did not work. One of the 4 spotlights in bathroom did not work, we did not report this as light was not too bad, the other issues were more important. Good - maintenance man excellent, sorted tv and replaced floor lamp. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I do not understand how no-one knew the tv was not operational and had no remote, how no-one knew the floor light did not work and how no-one noticed 25% of the bathroom lighting was not working.

Fabulous hotel
Comfortable hotel ideally situated within the heart of Stratford upon Avon Friendly welcome at reception Informative Restaurant and bar staff friendly and efficient. Especially like to thank Mike for his excellent attentiveness at breakfast

Perfect central location , so easy to stroll into town . Pool was too small for adults but nice for kids. Unfortunately Dinner was a nightmare! Chef kept getting our order wrong , wasn’t communicating with waiting staff and steak was so bad we had to return it - couldn’t even cut it! Terrible . We felt very sorry for waiting staff as they are the ones that take the brunt for his mistakes and waiting staff were so nice
