"we checked in, got to the room.We booked a water view room.The room was not a water view, husband called the front desk he was told there was no more water view rooms, what is the point in confirming we have a water view if they gave our room to someone else? Waited 45 for our dinner, when I ordered my meal I was told that that they would have to check if there was any brussel sprouts, I did tell my server if they did not have any I would take mashed potatoes. I never had a follow up on that...

"Such a beautiful mansion with fascinating history. The staff were all extremely friendly and went above and beyond in their service. It was lovely to sit in one of the rockers on the front porch in the evening and read. The breakfast was delicious and the table was beautifully set. The tour after breakfast is definitely worth it so don't skip it. It was full of interesting information and history. I'd stay again, with pleasure. "

The cottage is an attractive classic, as was our comfortable room - Mrs. Steele’s Bedroom.
