If you want to experience good standard, clean and tidy and incredibly nice people who are so service oriented that a book could be written about them - THIS IS THE PLACE. Thank you for two great rooms and two great days

Very clean, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. No bar or restaurant but not a problem for our stay as good pub Just a short walk along the sea front. Very handy for the ferry over to Liverpool.

What an absolute gem of a hotel! Spacious, clean rooms with super comfy beds and some with wonderful views over the river. Lots of downstairs space to hang out too, with a good quality pool table - perfect for enjoying a couple of beers before a night out. The ferry crossing is a stones throw and the breakfasts are beautifully cooked with excellent produce (fresh farm eggs, soft thick toast etc.) We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome from Dave and his mum and thoroughly enjoyed our chats over breakfast - they were also supremely patient when we managed to lock ourselves out of our room twice!! Thank you so much for your hospitality and helping us to have an absolutely wonderful weekend. Carla, Chris, Jemima and Wilf :))
