Its a nice place but be warned its right on the highway (noise) and there's a big lit up petrol station next door (light). My complaint is that I only booked it because the photo was of a pool on their Expedia profile (it was a VERY hot day!) and there is NO POOL. It got shut years ago!!! Shame on you Tukituki Motel! Change your photos!!!!

A dated motel but with double glazed windows, while it did have a heat pump to cool the air in the lounge and kitchenette, the only way to cool the bedrooms was to open the windows which bought in all the noise from the busy street, or the busy restaurant next door, or the busy petrol station across the road. Had an issue with mice eating the bread left on the kitchen bench, however the owners compensated us for our inconvenience. Lack of plugs in bedrooms to charge electric devices

Dear customer, Thank you for your comment. Our motel is close to town centre with a lot of facilities, which brings customers easy access to everything. We do apoligize for any inconvenience, however, we never had mice in our motel rooms. And our cleaners had a close search in every corner of the room you stayed, and there's no trace or proof of mice at all. Once again, thank you for staying with us and sorry about any inconvenience. We feel sorry about the road noise. Our windows are double glazed so it may help if keep the front windows closed.

Booking in was a seamless, efficient exercise. When i went out the next day and came back the breakfast dishes were done, beds made, clean towels were brought in and the place was sparkling clean again. Something nice to come back to after a hectic day.

Warm greeting on arrival, we arrived at 8pm and were told that the aircon had been turned on and that the room had been warmed up for us.
