Excellent getaway
Dorothy’s villa is a lovely property. Plenty of room for us (3 adults and one dog) and well furnished. Dorothy is very easy to communicate with and lovely in person. We will be back!

A Wonderful Stay

Just what we needed
The place is spacious and well equipped for cooking. It even had beach toys, which we had forgotten. Easy walking access to food and beach, and a super nice host! We had an awesome weekend, thanks!

Awesome place
Thanks Dorothy, what a lovely place to stay at Waikanae beach. The whole check in /check out process was pleasant and easy. You have 2 beach access points across the road. Nice sea views from the balcony Everything was very clean and tidy. Good layout with the 2 bathrooms and laundry. Spacious living area plus the deck. Good parking as well 2 cafes within walking distant and the 4Square is 2 minutes walk. Highly recommend if you want a nice place close to the beach and cafes. A+

Great location and house
The house is as advertised with lots of space. We found it a great location near the beach, cafes and bakery and playground. Would stay again. Do be careful if parking up above the house though as there is a steep bank that’s hard to see from in your car!

A superb home in a wonderful location
We had the pleasure in staying in this lovely house with our little dog. Dorothy the owner was excellent to deal with from my initial enquiry to welcoming us to her lovely house. The house is very clean and welcoming. Big lounge ,very comfortable couches, lovely dining area with views out to sea. Kitchen well equipped with all cooking utensils in very good condition. Spacious bathrooms and comfy beds. So close to shop and lovely cafe/ restaurants in Waikanae Beach. Would highly recommend Olde Beach if you are looking for a really nice house in a great location with an excellent host when visiting Kapiti.

Charming comfort by the sea
Lovely home, a short walk to the beach. The beach is great for walking and the neighborhood has several cafes and restaurants and a grocery store, all within walking distance. We liked Long Brach Restaurant the best. Beds and linens and the sounds of the waves make for comfortable nights. The living rooms is large, with many places to sit - we had a great evening with another couple. The kitchen has everything we needed, but we ate simply. I had to do some work during our visit. The wifi is fibre and has fantastic speeds. Dorothy is a very responsive owner and a pleasure to communicate with. We plan to stay again shortly so that we can explore some of things beyond the beach - Kapiti Island, the train to Wellington, and the bird sanctuary.

We enjoyed our stay here and especially enjoyed the large, comfortable living room with a view. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes,bowls , cutlery etc, A nice homely feel. Good for two couples and 4 children as there were two double beds and two sets of bunks.
