Perfect unplug
Such a great place to unplug and chill out. Wish we had another couple of nights up our sleeve, we will definitely be back. Took our wee boat and was perfect to launch in the creek and explore. Such great hosts and so nice and relaxed. Thanks John + family, + Beauden :)

Great location!
This was a great spot to base ourselves for fishing the far north. It's quiet and the bach was just enough space for the 3 of us. Our host John, was obliging and friendly. Cell coverage poor though. Overall it was good value for money

Peace and quiet in the avocado orchard
Worked out good for us. Cooked our meals and watched freeview telly before bed. Cell coverage poor to NIL. Very quiet at night and friendly well behaved dog.

Wonderful stay
Layout is open and breeze flows throughout with the hot weather. Has everything you need. Property is wonderfully peaceful and kids are free to run around. John is a great friendly host and we definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away.

Peaceful escape within an orchard
My family (including our dog) had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights while we explored the far north. It is simple but lovely accommodation at an amazing price! Everything was smooth and straightforward and the fresh avocados on arrival was a yummy extra. Would recommend highly if you are looking for an affordable getaway.

Tranquility
Great location for peace and quiet and a fabulous host to boot. Were it not for John’s advice regarding where to target fish, my outcome would certainly have been meagre. The cottage is neat and suitably equipped. The size of the property and its location provides not only tranquility, but options on either coast to fish depending on the wind. I plan to visit again.

Stay at Johns
Highly recommend this place! tucked away on a quiet avocado orchard, you can guarantee you will enjoy some piece and quiet! We stayed here 12 days and had an absolute blast. we were here for fishing so used it as a base camp. John and his family were super friendly and we enjoyed chatting to him in the evenings while we filleted the fish. thanks for being a great host mate, we will be back in march 2024 :)

Back to basics
If your looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city this is a great way to do it. The host was amazing, we even bought our dog 🐕 who loved it also. Only downside was the lack of wifi regardless we had an amazing time.

The property is absolutely stunning if you take the time to have a walk around. Host is absolutely amazing and is very hospitable for your needs. 10/10 highly recommend coming and definitely will be coming back!!
