What a wonderful place. I absolutely loved staying here. From the moment you arrive the staff are so welcoming without being intrusive. The place is spotless. My favourite area was the lounge that looks over to the pool. It was as if I was transported to the Caribbean. The plants and trees gave it a very stylish ambiance. The food was incredible. Beautiful breakfasts with anything you could need to a simple but delightful dinner. The beach is 1 minute away and is stunning. The small town is 15 minutes walk and has everything you may need plus a few shops for Sardinian souvenirs. I loved this place.

Too expensive for what it offers
Too expensive for what it offers. There is nothing special to charge such a high rate. The location is good, but the beach service such as the umbrella and chair are not included in such high rate, and it is not clearly stated anywhere. Breakfast is included, but you need to pay extra for a fresh orange juice when you are paying a rate of more than U$300/night. Not reasonable. The highlight is the service at the hotel bar, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The service at the front desk not the best, specially when the guy is the one talking to you. I forgot the name. The location is good, but you absolutely need a car since it is isolated from everything.

The property is located right on the beach and so convenient. Sirius Playa offers very good breakfast and dinner options. The rooms are comfortable but try to get one with a beach view. Cocktails are special especially the Sirius Spritz - super unique and delicious. It is a short drive away from Cagliari and easy to get too.

Beautiful hotel
From arrival to departure, our stay at the Simius Playa was wonderful. Our room was very well furnished, clean and comfortable with so many nice touches such as a coffee machine, bathrobes and soft drinks. The mature gardens and pool area were stunning, the area of private beach with sun beds and shades very welcoming. The real highlights were the staff, friendly, patient and very professional and the food. The dinner menu was very imaginative, changed every day but always with the option of choosing from the a la carte menu. Presentation and quality of dishes was excellent. Finally, we felt very COVID safe with numerous hand sanitising points, the hotel’s mask wearing policy politely but firmly applied. We are already planning a return visit

Old style with some renovation
In line with most accomodations in Sardinia, the hotel feels old but managed to keep a nice touch in the common areas (colonial style) and renovation of rooms. Staff are nice and restaurant is of a fair quality. Overall good stay even if quite expensive.

Good stay but careful pet owners
The hote is very nice and just in front of the beach. Breakfast is very good and heir bar too. However, be warned that if you expct this "pet friendly" hotel to allow your dog in most common areas sadly is not so. We were put in the dependance, not as nice as the actual hotel, the dog was "not welcome" in public areas such as beach or pool, bar. We were abel to bring it along to the beach because it was off peak season. Just be warned :)

The food and service were excellent. Really really wonderful. It was great having our own umbrella and chairs at the beach every day as well. We were able to spend the whole day at the beach in the shade. The room was clean, but not particularly luxurious. I would’ve expected a little more for the price and it being a 4 star hotel, but i didn’t come here to stay in the room. I came for the food and the beach, and got exactly what I was looking for, so no complaints!

Hotel Simius Playa was a fantastic hotel, beautiful decor, gorgeous outdoor/indoor bar space to socialise, such a lovely atmosphere. when we weren’t at the nearest beach we were by the pool/bar, since you could really relax in this space. The service was flawless from day one. Always so friendly, they couldn’t do enough for you. The food was of a very high standard, breakfast being the most varied we have seen. They offer gourmet style food in the evenings, and reasonably priced wine at only €5 per glass! There was sadly a storm just before our stay, which caused a high volume of debris on the beautiful beach, but it was only a short walk to a clear spot, where we could sunbathe and have a dip in the crystal-clear ocean. The hotel worked quickly to have the debris removed, which took days because of the high volumes. We booked room 10 - superior room with a sea view.. it had a king size bed, and a brand new on-suite bathroom, every detail was covered in this hotel. Thank you so much to the staff of Hotel Simius Playa, we were absolutely delighted with our luxurious stay! <3

Lovely hotel, a few meters walk to a clean, well-kept beach. We stayed during off-season, so it was not so crowded with other beach goers. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Only downside is that there isn’t much to do at night. Would not recommend walking around after dinner as the area is not very well lit. Town center is about a 25 minute leisurely walk from the hotel, but again not something I would advise at night.

Nice hotel next to beautiful beach, with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are relatively basic, but clean and quiet with free soft drink minibar. Only negative is that you need to pay for use of beach beds on the hotels strip of private beach, surely this should just be incorporated into the hotel cost.

Beautiful Simius
The hotel itself is small but modern, clean and cosy. It's location next to the private beach is brilliant and the beach itself is beautiful. The hotel staff are wonderful, especially the hotel manager, restaurant and bars staff. The food at the restaurant is top quality and the bar is brilliant to relax around in the evening. The most important thing you need to be aware of is the season!! We arrived early May and the season had only just started, this meant that the local area was very quiet, with most places not open yet, it also meant that the beach activities were closed. I think the beach needs to be monitored more closely as it's advertised as private but as it wasn't very busy, many non hotel residents were using the facilities. Also be aware of the swimming pool which isn't heated and therefore due to the freezing temperatures it was not useable during our stay. The beach however more than compensated for it but something to be aware of if you're not a "beach person". Overall the trip was enjoyable and this hotel is lovely, although we may have considered somewhere else if we were made aware of the season limitations. I suspect it would be the perfect place in June / July / Aug.

The hotel overall was very good but the classic double rooms had a very poor outlook with a not very nice balcony overlooking a ‘garden’ with rubbish about and a noise from a generator or whatever it was. In fairness the ‘garden’ was cleaned up and they built a wall to try and lessen the noise and apparently work is on going to alleviate the problem but maybe it should be advised that the classic rooms have a poor outlook as the rooms advertised are obviously the better more expensive rooms. The receptionist tried to give us a better room but nothing was available. This was the only disappointment but when you buy most things you can see what you are getting before you pay hotels seem to show only the best rooms !

Good location for beaches, restaurants and walking
Pleasant stay. Easy walk to sandy beach (2 minutes walk along footpath from hotel) with loungers and umbrellas available. Small but adequate pool. Allow two hours from Cagliari due to road closures and low speed limits. A range of restaurants within walking distance or short drive. Hotel does good breakfast. We didn't try lunch or dinner, but shopped around when we were out. The near absence of public toilets means that all the view sites were littered with toilet paper. Restaurants require you to have a full meal to use their facilities.

Wonderful hotel with a beach front location
What can I say, this hotel is simply charming. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The staff were always pleased to help us and were polite and friendly. The communal rooms are beautifully decorated and clean, as are the bedrooms. The gardens are well maintained, peaceful and displayed beautiful flowers. The private beach was adjacent to the hotel and had beds and umbrellas. You had to pay for umbrellas in the front rows, but the rows behind were free. The beach isn't that wide so it means you are still near the shore even if you take a free row. The stand out for me at the hotel is the food. We stayed on a half board basis and could therefore choose from either lunch in the beautiful garden restaurant or dinner in the hotel restaurant. This wasn't a buffet style lunch or dinner, you chose from an ample menu. The freshly caught local fish was amazing. The restaurant staff were so friendly they made our stay even more special. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Wonderful service at this fab hotel
This hotel is a bit dated but more than makes up for it in service and style. Food is fab, reserved sun beds on the private beach and a small but quiet pool make this a great place to stay. Our room 43 needed updating but the bed was comfortable and it was really clean. The bathroom was big too. we will definitely be back.

Exceptional hotel with friendly staff
Stayed here for 4 nights (half board) with my partner. Hotel location was brilliant, right next to the beach and if you want to walk to the town, it takes about 20-25 mins. Room was quite, very clean with powerful shower, they also provide you with separate towels for the beach. There is a good selection for breakfast (cereal, egg, cured meat, smoke salmon, bread, cake..). Dinner was a 4 courses meal, my partner and I mostly had fish for the main and they were very fresh and tasty. There is also live music by the pool on Thursday and Sat. Overall it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay for us. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 21, which was a bit smaller than the photo shown in the website, and there is not much view from the balcony. However, we didn't really mind because we spent the whole day on the beach and the room was very comfortable. Extra charges that are not included: beach umbrella and sunbeds (15 euros/day), and 3 euros to wash the beach towel.

Lovely location, great breakfast and super staff
Lovely hotel in a great location. Walking distance to the beach and local restaurants. Breakfast staff are so friendly and made my children feel welcome. Simone on reception is a credit to the hotel- attentive, friendly and always happy to help. Hotel is very popular with their food with an excellent chef and provides mouth watering treats. We plan on returning next year. If you want to relax and enjoy local food and wines, this is the place to be.

Excellent hotel just by the beach.
The hotel is conveniently located in close proximity to the beach so the location is as best as it gets. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The suite room was clean, ample in size and comfortable. Great food and drinks too. The hotel staff managed to get us a hire-scooter at the very last minute despite the time being slightly off-season. Overall, the room, the staff and the breakfast were excellent and memorable.
