"Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff."
We came to Vienna to see the Christmas markets. The hotel was perfectly situated in the city and close to transport. The staff were so very kind and helpful and the hotel was beautiful, and had everything we needed!! We had a wonderful stay and would certainly return!!
Arrived very early and we were upgraded so very pleased. The room was quite large and very nice, overlooking the main Strasse. It was very quiet so no problem with any noise. My only criticism of the room would be the very poor quality pillows. These were so flat you felt like you were sleeping on the mattress.
The turn down service was sometimes a bit hit and miss, wanting to turn your room down around 6.00 pm which is way too early when you're getting ready to go out. Be aware also that the "do not disturb" sign doesn't turn off with the Master switch, so we lost out on another occasion to have the room serviced. That was our mistake and the room hadn't been cleaned whilst we were out all day, so be aware of the "Do Not Disturb" sign.
We dined in Le Ceil and it was faultless. Could not recommend it hughly enough. The Wine List isn't cheap so be prepared.
Overall the hotel is wonderful, the staff attentive and friendly and the facilities great. Would have no hesitation in recommending.
Hotel location, amenities, staff were all great. Lovely old world charm. Bar staff went out of there was to secure a seat for us in the Sacher cafe, even though we did not have a reservation. Love the fact they let guests bring their dogs!
Chose hotel because of proximity to City Centre and sightseeing for a long weekend winter break. Hotel excellent with very professional and friendly English speaking staff. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Nice rooms with good choice of alternative restaurant and bar facilities including a sports bar / American diner. Hotel's main restaurant excellent and extensive food choice for both breakfast and dinner. Quite pricey for food and drinks in the hotel if on a budget, but so is everywhere else in central Vienna. When making the booking look out for good offers to include pre paid breakfast (we got ours for just £1.24 per person / per day) which was superb value.
Visited for 2 nights with a couple of colleagues for a business trip - had been recommended to use this hotel by our clients. Very welcoming staff despite late arrival and immediately had a positive feeling about the place. All facilities were good - from the underground car park (not full), speedy lifts, immaculate rooms with good showers, choice of breakfast options (we chose continental as it was cheaper - but was still more than adequate) and v. pleasant bar. All in all, a great base to work from.
