Nice place but 2 sketchy male employees
My stay was great. Exceeded my expectations. The hotel and room were clean. Bed was a little hard otherwise no major issues. Nice place but don’t think I will b returning there. My only issue is they don’t have a lock from inside and on two different days, a male staff unlocked my door with their key and came into my room. This was very early in the morning and I was awake and reading which took them by surprise he stood at the door like a deer in headlights. Mind you he didn’t knock or announce himself. I asked if I could help he said he was there to get trash. After he took my trash he asked if I needed anything and I told him water but I never heard from him again. Later that day I saw a different housekeeping but didn’t think much of it until the second time around same time in the morning again but this time around as soon as he opened the door and saw me at the study table, he quickly closed the door when I asked “can I help you ?”. 10 minutes later same thing but different male staff. I spoke with the receptionist and also the manager or owner they were clueless as regards to who or why these men came to my room unannounced. At this point I became scared for my safety and wondered what would’ve happened if I wasn’t awake. Luckily it was my last day there. As I could not get a clear reason for their being there. Clearly they were employees or how else would they have access / keys to my room? I wonder if they followed up on this as they were not too alarmed by it

Ok...the room was perfect for a family of 3. If you need space, this room is perfect for you. There is lots of room and the bathroom is large with a double sink set up. What was not good is the housekeeping. It was inconsistent.

Very nice staff, decent room. The elevator would only work sporadically, which wasn’t ideal. The safe in our room was broken so we had to use the security boxes in the lobby, so whenever we needed to get our stuff we had to have an attendant help us.

Fantastic value for money in a great spot
Fantastic unique independent hotel in a great location, enough going on nearby but also had great links into the centre. Superb value for money. The staff were always very friendly with the desk always manned which made it super practical to pop out whenever needed. The rooms were all lovely, but especially the upgraded Deluxe rooms, super modern, spacious and airy. Thankfully the bar of the hotel is open late and even offers snacks which is ideal after a few evening drinks. The breakfast was a bit disappointing and with many, much better places to eat nearby: I'd definitely say it isn't worth the money and you're better of heading out for food. My only real criticism was that the room cleaning service was a bit mixed. Our beds were always made nicely and they always timed it well so as not to disturb us when we were in. But, two of the three rooms we had booked had to get new toilet paper ourselves at least once, as this simple but very necessary item was not replaced. We also lost our bathmat one day but luckily that came back soon after.

Happiness has everything to do with the people you experience life with. This marvelous gem of a hotel has a genuinely caring and attentive teamed staff. Nora who greeted us upon arrival set the stage for this and Milli, Elizabeth , and Anastasia carried the momentum of great service. Our housekeeper, so sorry we did not get her name worked 15 of the 16 nights we stayed. Yet each morning she greeted us with a huge smile and accomodated every need. Everything including a dynamic breakfast is done with class. We knew they all loved their jobs there and it showed in everything. We believe they appreciated us being there. Kluss family members were present daily assuring all customers were happy. Just far out from the old center to be quieter, the area offered 3 food stores if your into eating on the run and midnight snacks and Bahn 44 is literally at the steps of the hotel and access to U6 a 3 minute walk. Lots of extras including live music with Sunday brunch to the tissues at departure made this a wonderfully memorable venture. We travel to Europe twice a year and have been to Vienna 4 times. We will be back. Thank you. I forgot to mention we got an unrequested free upgrade of our room. Nora was the Star!!

I chose this hotel for the Spa. Very upset that I was never allowed to use it, being a hotel guest. 3 nights and no access. And people of the street, getting in the spa. Is all about the Benjamins. Misleading advertisment, not happy.

Nice looking building & nice interior decor touches not a bad position for Vienna walkable. Building work noise srarted in roon next door at 8 am woke us up complained no apology from managment or room move offered ,no reply to my rmail . Double bed but single duvets on it ? No tea or coffee left 2nd night bed head positioned under window light shinning in on face from under curtains all night..

Good but wifi didn’t work!!
The location was good, about an hour away from the airport by public transportation and within 30 minutes of public transportation of all the sites we wanted to see. The staff were friendly and offered help with directions! The biggest flaw of this hotel was their wifi. We had a room on the third floor and the wifi did not work at all in our room, we had to stand in the hallway to use it. Not sure if this is the case for all rooms, but that was our experience.

We had a great time, the staff are all lovely and very welcoming :) Our room was right across from the elevator and unfortunately the walls are reasonably thin so it was somewhat loud with people coming and going, but overall excellent

I rented a single room which, though compact, was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast with its great variety of dishes which was prepared and presented with great care. I had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel on all levels.

Great Hotel, not far from anywhere.
The rooms are interesting. There are various themes from the different iconic Austrian companies. Ours was themed after the Ottakringer brewery. Pleasant and fun to stay in. Breakfast was good. Recommendation is to have cappuccino available with breakfast and not the giant urn of bad coffee. Vienna is famous for it's coffee, with all that is good about this hotel, why not give us great coffee. I will stay there again when I travel from Budapest. As well, I was pleasantly surprised at how close we were to everything by public transportation. The U6 is right there and it's a 20 minute ride to St. Stephens in the centre of the city.

The property is undergoing major renovations to the outside. This DID NOT affect my room. The room was quiet and comfortable. It did, apparently, affect the WIFI. I did not have access in the room. The hotel is close to old town Vienna but closer to a couple of 'gentleman's clubs' and right on the major road 221. The common spaces are dark and the upholstery needs cleaning or to be changed. If you simply need a room for 8 hours a day, this is a good place. If you want a few more features, best look elsewhere.

Weekend break
The Hotel was undergoing work to outside of hotel which we didn’t know about until arrival, one morning work started at 0750! Very noisy! However was short lived! Although I think we were in a refurbished room the bathroom was bit dated, separate toilet with no sink, steps up to toilet and particular bathroom unsafe. Staff polite and helpful, 24 hour reception. Not too central a location but transport links very nearby. Very good value for money.

Very nice and comfortable. Clean with great customer service. Not ranked higher due to no view from the room because of construction coverings over the windows and the outrageous price they charge for breakfast. 18 euros per person is extremely expensive.

The hotel was in front of the tram station. Far from the downtown you have to go by either 2 trams or to change metro to reach downtown however it doesn't take much time almost 15-20 min., The reception guy refused to give us 2 rooms beside each other as he has no availability while the room next to mine was empty and under cleaning and he said we should leave note while making the reservation!!!! I reserved 2 rooms by my name, same check in and check out dates and it seems he needed more clarification still do know what it can be !! However, I think it was my bad luck as the other guys were helpful may be if the check in was not in his shift it would have been solved.

Walking distance to where we have to be daily so very convenient. Staff are very friendly and accomodating but the room we got was not very nice: look dirty and musty so we asked to have the old rug removed. The best part of our stay is the gourmet breakfast daily.

Great hotel, very close to public transportation (44 streetcar and U6). Our room was small and the decor was a little strange, but the service was great. I was especially delighted when housekeeping left a bookmark on the book I had on the shelf. I also enjoyed being within walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants, without being in a tourist area.

Good location and transport routes, breakfast isn’t worth €18 for the selection and there was no water available for it without paying extra. The room layout was not ideal, the tv was positioned on the wall with the two beds out of view of it. I’m not sure if this was the case in other rooms but it meant I had some rearranging to do.

Not as boutique as expected
Looking through all of the hotels in Vienna for a long break this seemed like a great place to stay as it was family owned and not part of any clinical feeling chain. However, the hotel did not really meet the standards that were expected from a boutique experience. With the exception of the lobby and check in desk , the whole hotel felt a bit tired. Many of the areas could do with a new lick of paint to feel fresher. The room we stayed in seemed like it was trying to be some sort of Asian theme, which was interesting and obviously a fair bit of money had been spent on acquiring these quirky items, but it would have been better invested in keep the room feeling fresh. We also had a particularly odd experience where we seemed to be rationed to 1 sachet of coffee in the room per day, and upon asking at the hotel reception we were told we had to wait until the next day to receive an additional sachet, unfortunately when room keeping came around the hot beverage selection was never replenished. Overall the surround area is cool with some nice bars around, but the hotel is certainly not worth the £100+ per night we paid.

It is a lovely hotel with interesting purple and green theme inside. Everyone helped us out when we needed it and were very friendly. The room could do with some updating but the bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked quietly and it had everything you needed electrically. Could have done with a large mirror in bedroom but plenty in the hallways. Had a garden view room which was very quiet considering the busy road at the front. Could hear birds singing. A few minutes walk from train station. Very convenient place. Breakfast amazing at the weekend as live pianist and violinist playing plus delicious food. Cafes a few minutes away too. Would stay there again. Vienna beautiful city.

A very well run family hotel. Excellent value for money. Very clean everywhere. Fantastic breakfasts - all you would expect plus desserts! My only minor gripe is that the pillows could be firmer. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, and would be happy to stay here again.

The hotel is in an excellent position to get in and out of the centre of Vienna br tram U Bahm or walking. The staff were accommodating helpful and friendly. A perfectly good hotel an excellent value for money would stay again.
