One of the better options in Leysin. The fully-staffed front desk was a deal-maker- check in from 3pm-11pm. I'd almost booked another place until I noticed the rules for check-in on most nearby lodging is only between 4pm-6pm. The staff here is great and on site most of day. Good pool & great view. The buffet restaurant is very convenient (not many options in town) but there's better food nearby. Very happy with my stay.
Overall, we had a good stay as a family with a small kid.
If I were to point out a few things, half-board meal in the evening could have been improved as the variety was very limited and the bathroom also needs a good renovation.
Spacious clean rooms. Friendly staff. Nice Swimming pool and facilities to relax in after a hard days Skiing.
Breakfast not so great. found that most times we attended food had run out as well as cutlery, over run staff were not so friendly
This was such a fun hotel up on the mountainside! We had a room with a great view of the valley. The room was very comfortable, although there is no air conditioning and we were a little warm at night even with the windows open. We had a room that could sleep 5, although there were only two of us. The beds were comfy and their was plenty of bedding. The pool was fabulous, and we enjoyed the jacuzzi and saunas. The little town was just down the hill, and the train station was about a five minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
We booked on 2nd June 2018 for a week 020219 till 090219. All seemed well on arrival and up till Monday when the hotel became a youth hostel. We went for our evening meal at six thirty pm to be told due to the children it was 7.30 . The corridors were just extensions of the rooms on the 7th floor we had to ask teenagers to move to gain access to lour room. We complained as we had felt the room was small , but to put two 58 year old gents on the top floor with adolescent children seemed unfair we were then told the whole hotel was full of Children. We think it very bad form to allow this to happen and would warn other persons booking for a week of their peril. Had we had any idea at all that a hotel would become a youth hostel we would never have booked. We do not believe any adults on a holiday would choose to stay at a hotel given over to children and feel betrayed that we were not given the chance to make an informed decision. The hotel has to decide is it for adults with families or are they ......as it appeared to us just filling space with no regard to other guests. The food at the weekend was better than in the week when for weekend guests standards rose . We would not use this hotel without written promise that it was acting as a hotel and not a youth hostel . The staff were pleasant and helpful but the problem is a management problem what member of the management who allowed this to happen would stay in a hotel with such a concentration of children .
The accommodations were excellent and the food was wonderful the staff was extremely helpful friendly and created a very positive atmosphere I would come back here again and again and again
A delight to come here late at night and cecilia was a gem to work with pleasant and wrlcoming and gave us a superb apartment as close to heaven as uou can be with the view and comfort. 10 stars
Wonderful staff, but disappointing room. Booked apartment which was ok for one night, but no hot water after one very short shower. Hair on the corner of the bathroom. I will definitely not stay here again!
The views were fantastic, the hotel was OK but the beds were very uncomfortable.

Disliked: Room comfort
Bring earplugs.
Nice enough hotel close to ski lift but very noisy so found sleeping difficult.
Would have appreciated lift to train station in the morning with the luggage but staff who borrow vehicle don't start till after train leaves! Go figure!!!
Booked last minute and this was by far the cheapest option available in the Leysin/Villars area. Ended up with a family room with a bunk bed as well as the two single beds. The room was large and clean, the bathroom was nice, and the view from the balcony was great.
This was a great hotel. A bit hard to find, but nice location, clean, roomy (we are a family of four and they enjoyed the bunk beds!), nice large balcony with a beautiful view and awesome swimming pool, sauna, and hot tub. Check in staff were efficient, helpful, and friendly. Highly recommend!
Great location with a really good view. The hot/wet saunas were great after a day of skiing. The lift is about 250m down the road. The buffet food for both breakfast and dinner is what really put this place over the top in our opinion. The raclette dinner was superb, as was the service. Management is pretty clearly on top of things to make sure the details are attended to. My daughters loved the dining area, including the cows in the ceiling. My wife and I like the woodwork and the copper in the dining area. We will return. They even have a bibliotek (library) for guest use. Now, I want to try going back for a summer stay. If you are driving, be ready for a lot of switch-backs on the road heading up to Leysin.
What a great experience! the hotel has beautiful views of the mountains from the rooms. The pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub were amazing. The dinner buffet was delicious and a good price. I highly recommend this place!
We had a wonderful stay at hotel Central Residence. The location was beautiful although we were a bit unlucky with the weather that day. It was tooo misty and cloudy, so we couldnt enjoy the full beauty of the location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived at the hotel very late (22:00), we were very well received. we had booked an apartment for 4, it was a very beautiful apartment, very clean and well equiped. Overall we had a great time!
I was travelling with my young kids and wife. We had a great experience. Kids loved the swimming pool and sauna facilities, along with jacuzzi. Me and wife liked the accessibility from Geneva and Montreux.
There is enough to keep you and family occupied. The staff was extremely helpful (esp Receptionist Alexis).
One thing they can improve on is options for Veg food. But then its Switzerland..I am hoping too much :)
We only stayed for one night and booked one of their apartments so we had two bedrooms (traveling with the kids). It was everything we wished for. And everyone enjoyed the dinner and breakfast buffet.
We had one night to visit Leysin, where I attended high school in the 60's. The town has changed imperceptibly, and so remains magical... The hotel was very Swiss...clean, efficient and beautiful views. My only comment would be for a coffee maker in each room..or at least free coffee in the lobby. Otherwise, though not luxurious, a very fine stay.
The staff is wonderful. We had booked a meal, we arrived quite late and the staff arrange a very generous box-lunch for all to have our meal. Really wonderful. The place is in a beautiful location and although the hotel is not new, it was a great choice.
