My wife and I stayed at this hotel for our stay in Provence. A special appreciation to Anthony and Manon! I cannot say enough good things!!! After a great stay at a clean, beautifully landscaped property, we realized after arriving at our next destination that we had left our passports and money in the hotel room safe. If it weren’t for Anthony and Manon, the hotel’s director and manager, for saving our entire trip it would have been a complete nightmare! They drove all the way from Goult to Aix En Provence late at night to drive to return our passports and money. We will definitely be returning to Hotellerie Notre Dame.

Hôtel très bien situé au plein cœur du Lubéron proche de tous les villages à visiter. Très beau domaine (ancienne abbaye), l’extérieur est plaisant. Petit bémol sur la piscine qui était très (trop) fréquentée pour être agréable. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. Je ne conseille pas le repas du soir qui, malgré son prix attractif, est de qualité médiocre. Le service est laborieux également. Dommage car le cadre est vraiment pas mal...

Great price/quality hotel conveniently located
Nice hotel with very beautiful exteriors and nice outdoor amenities (swimming pool, free parking, games for children). Rooms are very clean and spacious.

The hotel used to be a monastery and has tons of character. The rooms look a bit tired but are comfortable and we had a good rest before heading to Goult and Gordes. There is a large cinema room, pool and ping pong tables for kids. The outdoor swimming pool is also huge. Loads of free parking. Didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment. Would stay here again.

The hotel is nice and easily accessible from various routes. Suggest to go there early as the hotel rear garden is a tourist spot too. Advise to call and book the dinner instead of upon arrival.

Surprised by this hotel
Why did I not stay here sooner? Perfect location, rooms are lovely We upgraded to a larger room that had bunk beds but in an alcove so that became the dressing room with suitcases in there and not in the main bedroom. Very updated rooms. Nice big patio with tables and umbrellas. You can bring your own wine and goodies and have a pleasant time before going to dinner. They do serve a limited but good menu. We however opted to go up to Goult for dinner with friends. There are also 3 small restaurants just across the little road. Huge pool by the way. Walking paths too and small dogs are welcome.

One night stay in Goult
Nice and clean modern decor hotel. The room was large but basic with a comfortable bed. The grounds are nice and the pool was very nice. The breakfast buffet was ok and most of the guests were families.

The only reason i provided an unpleasant check-in is because they did not have my reservation. They were so kind and lucky for us had a room available - but as this was prepaid - it did initially concern me that they said i did not have a reservation

Not what we expected
He room was not what we expected considering the look of the building itself. The room was very cold and utilitarian, the wifi did not work at all, and the staff called us rushing us to check in, when we were clearly still within checkin time, making us feel very rushed.

A charming place, good value for the money you pay
Hotel staff very helpful, nice quiet location, good value for the money you pay. WiFi only works in common area. Kitchenette has everything you need.

We loved this hotel
Spacious immaculate rooms, friendly helpful staff. Food was great with a generous buffet breakfast. So glad we found this gem of a hotel in beautiful surroundings. Ideally located for sightseeing the wonderful towns and villages of the Luberon . We stayed an extra night and loved it.

Great hotel! Shower and bathroom bit on the small side but that would be the only neutral/negative point I could make. Secure gated parking and a great little french'esque tapas bar over the road! Close proximity to Lacoste and Bonnieux

Nestled in a quiet, beautiful village
My husband and I stayed here for one night in July 2015. We really loved the quaint feeling of this small village, just 10 minutes from beautiful Gordes and scenic 20 minute drive from the gorgeous Sénanque Abbey. We arrived after 5 PM and took a quick swim at the pool, which was a nice little private area. There was also a spot for picnics and a playground for children. The grounds make this a beautiful choice; we took a 10 minute walk up to the chapelle in the morning which had some beautiful views. Highly recommend! Staff provided great recommendations for the restaurant Le Garage right across the street.

A good value, but disappointed overall!
Location was fine. A few small restaurants across the street, and only a mile from the city center of Goult for the market, shops and more restaurant options. Nice hike option available from the hotel, too. All was clean, front desk service was not very helpful. No ice available or mini-fridge in room, so don't count on any cold drinks or chilling any great wines you purchase while out tasting in Provence. The hotel has a bit of an old smell and hospital feel about it. There seem to be alot tour buses guests staying at the hotel while we were there.

Disappointing
The main building and grounds were very nice but the room and the building we were in were disappointing. We stayed in Ventoux annexe which had long bleak, damp smelling corridors. The room was okay but small and bleak. Bathroom was tiny. Nothing you could actually complain about but everything was just adequate which was disappointing.

Most generous breakfasts in France.
I stayed at 12 hotels while in France, and this one had the most generous breakfasts. Lumieres is not really geared up for credit cards and the nearest bank is some 7k away, so if you are low on cash, your eating options are even more limited. Be sure to make a reservation at the hotel in that case, or you will have to take what is given, which was very good.

We came for one night only, made a reservation via Expedia the hotel is located great somewhere between Gordes and Rousillon, and very close to the main road that goes west of Apt. we paid an excellent price for room and breakfast, about 80 Euros i think. all the farm houses around where a lot pricier. the town Lumiere where the hotel located is not so easy to find, Hiding somewhere around Goult, Be prepared...

Excellent Location
I found the hotel very comfortable, attractive and in a great location. Right off the main highway to Avignon, the hotel is in a very beautiful part of Vaucluse. Just up the hill is the village of Goult, which I thought was one of the prettiest villages in France that I've ever been to. It's at the top of a hill (like many towns in the region) built around a XII century chateau with lovely streets and lanes than wind around the chateau with beautiful vistas of the valley below. The back roads and beautiful villages of this region are worth a visit. Gordes (the signature town in the region) is only 15 minutes away.

The hotel is lovely to look at and is situated on a quiet, picturesque street near the the town of Goult. There are several hikes into the woods around the hotel, bringing you by interesting sites. At least one hike involves climbing up steep rocks initially. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was fine; however, my window's view was blocked by the protruding edge of the next wing. A coffee machine in the lobby provided a tiny amount (1/2 cup?) for 1.2 Euros.

It is in a BEAUTIFUL setting but beware: Groups ie. motorcycle club, vintage car clubs like to stay here. They will party loudly past midnight under your window and there is no one to call on front desk after 11pm to stop this. This hotel is more like a hostel so stay at your own risk - staff are friendly and helpful but you are on your own after dark.

Zabou was welcoming and personable. Location is great for visiting surrounding villages, modern rooms with a/c, common areas are upscale. A good stay !

nice garden but not nice everything else
when we checked in it was 9pm and everything was closed. the gym hours were 8am-8pm and the front desk said everyone needs to sleep...(well we did see quite a lot of elderly people that night). the city itself was barely a city as there's only one restaurant nearby. our room was supposed to be 'courtyard view' but all we saw was another window 1 metre away.

A nice hotel in a charming location
The hotel is located close to some of the most beautiful attractions of Provence. Before it was a monastery and was rebuilt, furnished and modernized to our full satisfaction. Parking is in a locked area with no additional charge. Excellent and rich breakfast (additional payment). In conclusion: Very good choice.

I rarely complain but whereas the hotels itself, its surroundings and what it has on offer are amazing, the service is more than disappointing. The check took 15 mins and the personnel was not welcoming, arrogant and borderline rude. As I was on bike tour of the area I needed to store my bike overnight in the garage - explanation where to store it is minimal - 'go it this direction and figure it out/find it yourself' approach, getting/returning a key to the garage makes you feel like a thief who will steal/keep the key without returning it and there is no way to charge your electric bike if you need to do so. Hotel, its grounds - restaurant, pool, hiking trails and room itself are amazing but poor service strips down the great experience. Check out and leaving hotel took over 30 mins - the key to the garage was at the reception who sent me to the garage twice claiming it's open. Yet again it felt like I bother them by being their guest. Definitely will not return and not worth nearly 150 euros I paid per night.

Séjour sympa en sortie de Covid, chambre et hôtel propre. Nous avons également pu profiter de la piscine. Facile d’accès Stationnement facile sur le parking de l’hôtel, qualités restaurant juste à côté. Billard dans l’entrée. Je recommande.

Magnifique mais personnel un peu froid.
Hotel magnifique, chambres très bien. Parking fermé immense. C'est une grande structure avec une ambiance bizarre, le personnel est stressé. L'hygiène dans la grande piscine laisse à désirer à cause des clients sans gêne ( avec la covid, c'est regrettable).

Un très bon hotel dans un cadre calme dans le Lubéron. Une piscine exceptionnelle et quelques restaurants à proximité. Nous avons mangé à la "Bouche des Gouts" à 50m de l'établissement : très bien. Seul petit bémol : vendre une petite bouteille d'eau de 50cl à l'accueil pour un prix de 2€, ce n'est pas normal.
