"I liked our room with the view of the harbor. It could have been cleaner. Our room had toilet paper, liquid soap, and two towels. There were no cups, glasses, tissues, hand towels, washcloths, shampoo, or lotion. No USB ports. Talk about sparse! Good thing it was only one night and inexpensive."

3.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (79)
"Location is amazing! Right in the heart of the greatest parts of Valparaiso. The hotel is very simple, but just what I needed for the few days I stayed there. It's a safe hotel because someone is always around at the front door. You do need to often ring the doorbell to get in, but the owner comes to get you very quickly. He is also so helpful and will guide you wherever you need to go in the city. Recommend to the solo traveler!"

Valparaiso Vineyard Inn
3.0 star property
7.4 out of 10, Good, (78)
"We had a nice two-floor suite with a balcony on each floor with a beautiful view. The suite was clean. We had to ask for towels. We had to run the water for about 10 minutes to get a hot shower. Breakfast was okay. Hotel is in an interesting, old neighborhood, with lots of steep streets or stairs to get to the city centre. Heard barking dogs late into the night. They seemed to be having staffing problems while we were there, and the manager was not particularly helpful."
