The Centro de Exposición y Venta Artesanal is a modern and spacious exhibition hall that showcases the works of the city’s craftspeople. Here, you will find impressive pottery pieces spread across nearly 100 individual spaces. Attend one of the many cultural events that take place here to learn about the local art scene.
Enter through the gates beneath the brown colonnade that surrounds the complex’s courtyard. A thick, white obelisk guards the entrance, while fixed huts flank the green surface of the external space at the front of the structure. Purchase some of the pottery works you’ll find inside to take home as souvenirs.
Choose from your favorites and learn about the traditions that each piece represents. Speak to the artists and vendors about their artistic intentions and cultural backgrounds. The city of Metepec is known for its artisanal history and pottery items and has many family workshops.

The Centro de Exposición y Venta Artesanal is in the central part of Metepec. Get around the historic center on foot. You can also drive here and leave your car in one of the spaces surrounding the complex. Visit nearby sights, such as the Kiosco mermaid statue, the Municipal Palace and the Church of San Juan Bautista.
