Great for a quick stay at a convenient cost. The hotel is in need of some updates especially in the pool area. Staff was friendly and attentive. Hot breakfast included.

Pulling in the lot was covered in ice but there qas pleanty of parking, walkomg in was quiet given the time of day but the worker was sitting in the general area on her phone instead of behind the desk, got all checked in and she was quick to run through room number and direction to room, pool times, breakfast times and rules. The stay was decent the pool area was quiet not alpt of seats and the ppol was kinda dingy, the hot tub was kinda nasty with brown bubbles and hair floating around, npt too many towels for guests either. Beds were pretty comfortable but the half sized pillows kinda sucked. Shower pressure sucked and tub was dirty. Then for breakfast it was a small set up with prepackaged oatmeal, danishes and a small coffee bar, they had bagels and bread for toast, buscits with a pot of gravey and a single waffle maker. Not an out of this world experience but got us through the 1 night trip intended.

The pool and hot tub were the reason we booked this particular property, but when we checked in for our three-night stay, we were informed that it was closed for maintenance for the length of our stay. The suite we got was okay, but did not have a bathtub and the bathroom was outdated with dirty and cracking grout. Staff was not friendly and seemed annoyed that we asked for towels and trash service. They did not change out our towels after we requested the service. The elevator doors closed so quickly that we really thought our limbs would be taken off. We were greeted by large chunks of wet ceiling tiles being lugged by a father and son duo while retrieving luggage carts, which in themselves were very unwieldy. The continental breakfast was very good however, and the dining area clean and comfortable.

I love how easy going and friendly the staff was, they were quick and prompt to address any needs by me and my partner. Booked a 1 King Suite. Looked cleaned aside from MANY questionable white, and dark oily stsins in the pullout in our suite and the smokey odor, I believe it was a smoke free room however. Hardly any towels were supplied in our room which led us to ask for multiple sets of towels during our stay, but no big deal, easy fix. Bathroom was a decent size and nice set up, loved the stand in shower. There was however hair all over the walls and on the floor in the shower as well as on the toilet seat. Things get missed, it happens at the end of a busy week. Pool also had lots of hair in it so we didnt swim our first night, which was no big deal as we only went for the hot tub the first night which was perfect and relaxing. Pool was clean next day but was very salty and dried the skin out quickly. Guessing just too much bromine. I hate to sound like one of those guests as i used to do hotel work myself. It was truly a good stay and we scored a quiet and decent sized room that happened to be away from everyone else. Not sure if i'd stay here again but I wouldn't say anything against it. Yuh get what yuh pay for and they are at least very sweet and helpful staff. Plus on the good standard breakfast options. Juice, bagels, yogurt, cereal with milk options and a waffle maker. Some fruit, fruit cups, and hard boiled eggs. Not bad at all.

Bathroom falling apart
Came to traverse city with my wife Susan for Christmas shopping. The checkin was easy and the staff are great!!! However the bathroom was falling apart. The ceiling was cracked and falling apart the shower had leaked and the caulk job was horrible.

Staff at desk were not welcoming. Room lighting was poor, Used towels (not mine) were left in the 3rd floor corridor from about 4pm through 7:30 the next morning. Bed was OK.

There was bugs and spiders in one of our rooms and then in our other room there were black hairs all over the shower and towels the hot tub and pool were not clean they both had hair floating in them the person who checked us in was rude this was my worst hotel stay ever

The rooms were clean. We were there with Friends and their room door did not lock when you closed it. You could push the door and it would open. Front staff for most of our stay was never available. Breakfast was awful.

Check in: the man did not give a friendly greeting and he did not mention that breakfast was included. The room: just so-so. Somehow we were placed in a handicap accessible room so the toilet and shower area were huge. This was fine but there was no place to set the clean towel when taking a shower. Also, the showers on Saturday morning and evening were COLD. The room had only one bar of hand soap so the shower had only a tiny shower gel and no shampoo. The service: there was no housekeeping done on day two. I asked at the front desk and they said I had to ask for it at check in. Well, I wasn’t told about that at check in so we needed towels, coffee, creamer replenished by me. And we found out in the middle of Saturday night that we didn’t have extra toilet paper either. The price: my total bill for two nights was $450 and I feel I was grossly overcharged for this small, plain room with bad service. When I complained about the housekeeping issue, one of the young me. Said he would talk to the manager about a discount but evidently the answer was no. Overall: very disappointed. Will not stay here or at another Baymont again.

We were able to check in early. And that went well. The person seemed new and had to "ask her manager" for everything we asked about. The room needed a good "spring" cleaning. Dirt in corners, etc. The people at the desk the next day were very helpful and prompt with clean towels, more coffee, etc. that we asked for. Check out was good. Personnel very professional. Check in and cleanliness needed a bit more attention.

So the staff were really nice and the breakfast average. My complaint is with the air conditioner and the cleanliness of the room. I could tell the covers have not been changed, the sheet where your feet would be had dirt from someone’s shoes. The ac had a broken fan, so we switched rooms. The second room had to have the fan constantly on because it would not kick on normally.
