"The property was in a great location and neighborhood close to great restaurants. Easy walk across the river to historic center. The room was clean and beds comfortable. The shower was small especially if you are a larger person but otherwise the staff and property were great."

"The property was in an excellent location and the owner/staff were very friendly and responsive. The room was nice but the bed was much smaller than the king size that was advertised, my husbands feet were hanging off the end. Beautiful bathroom. Smart tv was nice but wifi was not reliable. Breakfast snacks (coffee, cookies, packaged pastries, cereals, and apples that were well past their prime) available the first day of our theee day stay but were not replenished. Overall we enjoyed our stay, great restaurants, gelato, take out window, water fountain right outside the door! We would recommend if you are looking for a clean room in the heart of an amazing neighbourhood."

"Stayed there for 1 night only for our travel out of Rome. Excellent location in a very vibrant neighborhood with a lot of trattorias nearby. Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel staff were super nice and helpful. Would stay there again on my next trip to Rome, and hopefully for longer than 1 night."

"This stay was absolutely lovely!! Clean amenities, comfortable beds. Everything aside from a washing machine, that you could want on an overseas stay. The beds were comfortable, the hairdryer was actually a good one (for those ladies that have crazy hair like me) and the AC worked great! The host was fabulous and even helped us with our bags to our apartment that was a block away from the hotel location itself. Speaking of location, this is by far the best place to stay when in Rome. Trastevere is less crowded than downtown, more quiant and the streets smell of jasmine and boungavillas. The most incredible patio dining and shops around every corner. Highly recommend, do yourself a favor and just book it!"

"The best aspect of Hotel Trastevere is its location in the heart of Trastevere within five to ten minute walk to restaurants, the Basilica, the Tiber. A downside is that it can be noisy. On our Friday night stay, it didn't quiet down till about midnight. The morning manager was outstanding. When our airport transfer (which the hotel had arranged) didn't show, she went into action. She called a cab for us and got us on our way within a few minutes. I've been in hotels where the front desk shrugs its shoulders when things go wrong. She was the opposite - she took control of the situation and helped us remain calm at the same time. The room was basic and wasn't in great repair. The light over the bathroom mirror was out, the smaller button to flush the toilet didn't work (we could use the larger flush button - so it wasn't a disaster, the safe didn't have directions and neither we nor the person at the reception desk knew what to do. The room had a good bed and adequate AC. We paid $500 for one night. Perhaps the room rates for late May in Rome are that high but it wasn't a $500 per night hotel."
