Perfect location right in the middle of town. Parking lot was a bit hard to find but we had a comfortable stay. The one negative is they lock the entrance to the main street in the evening and don't open it until morning which means you have to walk around the block. The views in the town are lovely but many shops and restaurants closed very early or didn't open at all.
Good location in the centre of Thones with nice shops and restaurants on the doorstep. However noisy late at night because of party in adjacent building. Excellent hotel restaurant, seemingly used by locals. Good value for money.
We had a great experience here. We got into town a little early to try to catch a stage of the Tour de France. It was too early to check in, but they gave us the key to the room so we could throw our bags in there. The breakfast is a little pricey but as far as hotel breakfasts go in France (from our experience) it was the best. The town was also an unexpected treat and as we were leaving Saturday morning there was a whole host of vendors setting up in the middle of town selling all kinds of food and wares. We had to catch the bus back to Annecy so we couldn't stay long, but grabbed what we needed for a nice lunch on the train. I want to come back to this place and will definitely stay at the Hotel du Commerce!!
