"We are locals who stayed for a staycation for my birthday. Everything about Charleston Place is five star but the thing that sets this hotel apart is the service. Charleston is a friendly and polite city and everyone we encountered at the hotel was very professional but also warm and friendly. True Charleston hospitality. The restaurant is superb and the spa is great."

"Nice property amenities with 24/7 market and Morton’s on site. Not so nice amenities in the rooms. Very dated and in need of a refresh, especially the bathrooms (showers). Don’t expect any toiletries- all they have is a small hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a cheap hair dryer. I didn’t find the bed to be particularly comfortable and the pillows are very flat. "
