If it's your first time travelling during the COVID-19 outbreak, you'll notice a raft of new rules and standards in place. Follow these tips and make your getaway to The Islet go off without a hitch:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before committing to a flight. Also check if there are any special conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as health testing.
• Keep your face mask on even during airport screening. A TSA employee will require you to temporarily lower your mask for ID purposes.
• Rather than handing a TSA officer your boarding pass, place it straight on the scanner yourself. After that, hold it up for inspection.
• You can now take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on luggage. This will need to be removed for screening.
• Remove personal items from your pocket, such as your phone, keys and wallet, and place them in your carry-on rather than into bins. This will reduce handling during the screening process.
• If you want to take food on board, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA officer will need to handle your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
