Even though the hotel has history but the room is very clean and the bathroom is new. Breakfast was awesome with so many options. 3 minute walk to Sogo.

Convenient location and clean and spacious room, caring staff. I used the sauna which was nice, though the pool was closed because of the weather and low temperature in March. Breakfast buffet was good with lots of options. Hotel is a stop of the airport shuttle, which is a plus, though the shuttle was a bit behind schedule. It was not a big deal. My only complaint is the room had no outlet to plug in phone and laptop chargers! There was one in the bathroom for the blow dryer. So I had to charge my phone there. Overall, I enjoyed staying at Howard.

Felt very safe here. Staff made us feel welcome during their Lunar New Years celebrations even though we weren’t celebrating ourselves. Only complaint was room service hot breakfast was brought to room ice cold.

I regularly stay at the Howard Plaza Taipei. I have on rare occasions stayed in other hotels but I keep coming back because this is such a wonderful hotel: clean, comfortable, easy access to metro and to airport bus, walkable, convenient alternative dining venues, very up to the standard in all regards.

Nice place for business stay
Overall a very nice hotel and I would have no problem booking it again. I had a room overlooking the courtyard and unfortunately even though I was on the 10th floor it gets a little loud when they are cleaning up for the night. Shower was a bit tight but other than that the room was very comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Stayed for 8 nights. Hotel was older but nice. Breakfast was great but same stuff everyday. The staff was wonderful and professional. Had a little issue with the transportation to the airport I booked thru the hotel, but the staffs took care of it quickly and professionally. I will recommend this hotel to friends.

Howard Plaza was a 5-star hotel some time ago. It retains r the service level but did not upgrade fast enough, and a few nowadays perks are missing, like power outlets close to the bed. Nonetheless, the installations are still very nice, with great service at a very convenient location. The Airport bus stop is right in front of the hotel door. There are two subway stations nearby, - less than 10 min walk, as well as restaurants and varied shopping options.

Outside the city, but easy access to the train stations within 15” walk to Daan station. 30 minutes walk or less to 101 shopping center. Not much to do around the hotel area. Breakfast was ok. Swimming pool was closed during winter. Overall, definitely, did not have the grand/luxury five stars hotel vibe.

Wonderful stay at the Howard Plaza
A rustic hotel with excellent service and location. Within walking distance to the 2 MRT lines. The rooms are comfortable and adequate. However the breakfast were mainly factory made products. So wasn't that impressed. There are other options in the vicinity. Pool is closed during the winter. However with the climate change happening, it was rather warm in Taipei.

Housekeeping stole my necklace. Manager told me that it is impossible for them to steal my item since they were only in the room for 6 minutes. I told him that it is not that hard for housekeeping to sneak the necklace into his/her pocket. I was offered nothing for this loss. Also this hotel is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Customer beware!
