DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The pictures are not true reflections of what the hotel or rooms look like and they fail to mention on Expedia that this is also a hotel that has low-income housing. Within minutes of arriving, we saw numerous homeless people, a prostitute walking in, and people shooting up in the parking lot. We felt very unsafe and uncomfortable with our young children. We wouldn’t be able to get a refund and due to the time we got there, we stayed. Our first rooms smoke alarm was out and constantly beeping so they put us in another room that had dirty sheets, one towel, and no toilet paper. The woman working was very kind and easily changed our room and got us what we needed. They bump rap downstairs all hours of the day. There are numerous transient and homeless pulling milling about and one of the outside doors is broken with caution tape all around it. It was not worth the price and again the pictures must be photoshopped, stolen or enhanced because that place was the most broken down disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. Stay away!!!

When we arrived they told us the room would not be ready until 3pm, so we went to run some errands and came back at 4, when we were told that our room was being used for a daily rental. They found us another room when i insisted. We went and took our luggage in and my husband asked them to clean it. We came back and it reeked of smoke the next morning i felt and saw bite marks on our bodies from bugs. They told us all of the rooms are that way until they remodel The pool area seemed unsafe with boarded up doors and cardboard over things. They did refund my money.

FILTHY. We recently stayed here with our entire family. Our family had a total of four rooms rented. My sister in law was given the wrong room TWICE. Even walked in on someone already saying in the room once. One room smelled so bad of ammonia and who knows what else and they were forced to cancel their room causing other family to have to uncomfortably split rooms. The other rooms were absolutely filthy. Our room even had burns on the floor and what appeared to be blood stains by the door. When my sister in law got no help from the staff there at the hotel she decided to call the manager. The manager was RUDE asking what she wanted and even said “if it was so bad why didn’t you tell the front desk.” We ALL did. Then the manager even went as far as to tell her it was basically our fault for booking there because it was turning into “low income housing” and we must not have looked at the reviews. I’m sorry but that is no excuse to run a filthy business. Do not book here.

The room 205 was almost excellent except the chair arm was torn. My problem was outside the room The hallway carpet is horrible. Garbage piled up by the elevator for over 24hrs.

I booked this hotel because it was in a central area. I checked in and was given a room that smelled like smoke as if something was burning. I walked back to reception and the front desk staff was kind and gave a different room. I inspected the room and was ok. One of the side tables was broken at the bottom so stood sideways. Second, there were crumbs on the carpet and lastly the shower floor looked dirty. It’s not the cleanest hotels so reserve at your own risk. I also, stayed one day instead of the two days. Due to the constant banging sounds and the random chatter throughout the night.

This hotel was a disappointment. There was a very unsavory atmosphere there, with strange people roaming the halls at all hours (appeared to be drug-related) and loud fights in the parkting lot. There did not seem to be adequate security in place, and it felt insecure or even dangerous.

Not worth the price.
I was extremely disappointed when i arrived at the hotel. Back in the day, it was a cheap flea bag motel. Then turned to cheap room apartments. Though it was redone surprising nice, it was more like a Super 8 and not worth the $103 nightly price.

The Hotel Thea looks better in photos. The ceilings are low and hallways tight.. The front desk agent was awesome, very helpful and maintained excellent customer service while busy.

We didn’t ask for transportation, so we can’t rate it. Everything was clean, the staff wonderful. I quibble about the lack of outlets that we found and poor planning of room design. Why is the reading chair not near the ligh? Why isn’t there an outlet in the shower/toilet room so you don’t have to turn on really bright lights in the middle of the night? Why only 1kleenex in the box an no backup box?

Reception area not inviting, all walls/hallways need touchup painting, reception workers need to dress properly, be pleasant and welcomimg. Caroets desperately need cleaning. This used to be a nice hoetl jyst a couple years ago. Property is not being maintained,. I suspect staff persons probably need to be paid more in order to attract and keep more professional individuals. Sad to see the orooerty deteriorate more every few months we stay there.

Location was good, staff were nice, and bed was fairly comfortable. Unfortunately the negative far outweighed the positive. First room, there were huge pink stains all over, no remote for TV, and outlets didn’t work next to bed. They moved us to another room that was better but it was loud, smelled strongly of marijuana, stains on carpet and furniture, bathtub backed up during showers, and the WiFi was not working the entire time even after they “reset” it twice.

We stayed two nights here. Check in was fast & easy. Receptionist answered all our questions & was very helpful. We had two dogs & there was a $25 per pet fee. (It states $15 per pet on website plus there is another $50 per pet deposit which is refundable). Our two dogs was quiet & kept on leash in common areas, but other guests allowed their dogs to bark at our dogs and run around without leash, which was not staffs fault..just bad pet owners. The room was very large. It did have a musky smoke smell to it. For most part it was clean & ready. There was a few large red stains on carpet. Beds was clean & well made. There was Zero coat racks or hangers for items. A mini fridge is in room but not working well.0 The pool & hot tub area was clean and maintained. Not so good points: the pop/snack machine does not accept change so only a debit card can be used. The coke bottles was $1.75 but upon swiping my card i was immediately charged $5.20. Its a pending charge & receptionist said it'll adjust in a few days. Its now been 6 days and fee of $5.20 is still held pending on my card. There should be a sign stating this charge will occur (which is an odd amount to withhold for a single vend machine). Breakfast is available but its make-your-own waffle (with syrup only available) and coffee. They do have a laundry room that was clean, but they should add a single use Soap packet to vending machine. Great stay for me & my two adult sons. Price was reasonable & friendly staff.

I like that it stops out more than the rest of the hotels on hosmer. I don't like that by the summer time it will be closed and turned into low income housing and that the staff are well aware of this so there is minimal effort for hospitality.

The front desk clerk went through the check in with zero emotion. As soon as you step out of the elevator the hall reeks like cigarette smoke (the entire stay)(and I am a smoker). The room was updated but there were stains on the carpet and bedspread that looked like blood. Worst of all the bed frame was broken in the middle of the bed. I spent the whole night trying not to roll of the side of the bed. The "bathroom" (which is the only place to change clothing in private) is so small you have to dance around the toilet to shut the door and you can literally reach your arms out and touch wall to wall from inside the shower to the wall next to the toilet. As we were leaving to go to dinner, a man stepped into the hallway with a blanket under his arm. We later discovered that he was sleeping in the stairwell. As a criminal justice major, it is my profession opinion that there was quite a bit of prostitution also going on at this hotel. Including two women that were at the pool asking my teenage daughters how old they were and what they were doing in the area. Their continental breakfast only runs until 9:00 a.m. even though it says 10:00 a.m. on the jacket cover of the room key. The only thing they had for breakfast was cereal and Belgium waffles with syrup and butter. Also apple juice in plastic cups, coffee, and water. The maids were banging on our door 20 minutes before checkout, even with a DND sign. I canceled my reservation for the second night and we left.

Having to Uber to the event wasn't bad the only downside to the area was that Burger King across the way had there lobby locked and wanted me to stand in the drive through I went to IHOP instead.

Do your self a favour. Book somewhere else. If we could give 0 stars we would. They over booked. And while they tried to figure it out we realized how gross the hotel was bugs everywhere and terribly ran. Book elsewhere. It’s not even worth trying.

Worst experience ever. Booked a room two months ago, had confirmation and receipt but when I arrived I was told my room was cancelled five days prior. Expedia still had my room reserved but the motel refused it and said it was cancelled. Half the motel was under construction so my assumption is the motel failed to notify Expedia that they were short on rooms. Absolutely will never book this motel again.

Carpet was stained - it was red, not sure what it was so i kept my shoes on. Entire facility smelled. Elevator permit was expired. Breakfast was cancelled 1 of 2 mornings I stayed and it consisted of cold coffee, smelly waffle mix, and packaged applesauce.

This place just feels greasy. The pool is closed for 'sanitation reasons' according to the very high clerk at the front desk who wouldn't even turn down the music he was blasting to answer us. There's practically no breakfast. Just an old, unclean, gross waffle iron that makes soggy waffles covered in soot and grease. No butter, no syrup, no coffee creamer. Get the idea yet? We were on the second floor and the whole floor smelled so strongly of pot smoke that it was horrid. Windows in our room wouldn't close all the way or lock. Room was not clean; including used bars of soap open in the shower, open toiletries, etc. The front desk is worthless if you need anything. They don't even turn down their music, which is blasting and can be heard a floor away. Don't get me started on the neighborhood.

Where to begin? The place is dirty, and has a greasy feel to it. The floors are overwhelmed with the stench of pot smoke, and the staff just sit behind the desk blasting music and playing with their phones. The pool is closed. Breakfast is non-existent... well, you can have a plain, soggy waffle made in a waffle iron that doesn't look like it's been cleaned since the 1980s. There's no butter. No syrup. No forks. No creamer for the coffee, and the staff can't be bothered to even answer questions about if there are any more of these things. The room carpets make you want to wear shoes 24/7. Strange stains, used soap bars in the showers, open toiletries, and the area can be pretty sketchy. Just.... all of it. No. Stay away.

Hotel should not be listed on Hot.com website
A run down hotel barely operating. The entire hotel needs renovated. The atmosphere is dull, dingy and in need of a major cleaning. No internet connection in the rooms, no advertised daily breakfast, and the hotel staff leaves a lot to be desired. The customer clientele looks like there are a lot of undesirable dealings going on in the parking lot.

Arrived at the hotel at 11pm to learn that the receptionist woman accidentally checked another guest into my reservation. I was then checked into a different room, one that was not cleaned from the previous stay. With dirty sheets and wash-wear from the last guest. I returned to the office and was asked to wait 30min while staff prepared a third room. This final room was dirty and the vanity light did not function. Hair was found in the shower and stains were prevalent throughout the room. The only positive experience from this stay was young man working at the front office. He tried to correct the receptionists mistake and appeared sincere about the poor situation.

This place looked nothing like the photos on the website in that they were taken when the place was new and clean. It was old, dirty, poorly maintained and scary. People yelling in the halls and out the windows. Trash in the parking lot. Hallway doors looking like they had been pried open. I will say the front desk person was very kind, friendly and also understanding when I came back from looking at the room saying I could not comfortably stay here and feel safe. He understood my concerns. I was able to get a full refund via Hotels.com, although it took a few days.
