Home away from Home
The room was clean and spacious. Even if facilities are not new they are well kept and maintained. It is a home away from home type of hotel. I just wish that for their rate the comfort rooms should have a lock system that works ( there was no lock for the CR) and there were no fridge for the family room. Breakfast was okay but the food warmer was not working so food served in the morning was already cold. But overall it was a good experience and everyone was friendly and the Thai massage service was really excellent!

This was a great place , friendly staff, clean room, elevator and ramps for handicap accessibility, front siting patio with tables and swing , fish pond was nice. Shower was tall enough for foreigners with good water pressure , rooms where cleaned daily (and fast) , there are tricycles and multicabs right down the street for transportation. The price wasn't the cheapest or most in town but was a very nice place , and the food for breakfast was great selection and taste that alone made it worth staying here only negatives I can think of is it would have been nice to have a refrigerator , and the internet past word you need to get coupons form desk for EVERY device every few days I was happy with my stay there and would stay there again

Good choice!
Hotel was great - even with big wedding party going on, checkin was easy. Cute cafe with excellent service and choices. Definitely a good choice in Tacloban!

Perfect overnight stay
I've seen this property several times in the past on hotels.com. was looking for a decent overnight stay that wouldn't break the bank. The decor in the lobby was great. Checkin was quick as they were expecting us. Room was nice sized. On site restaurant was awesome. It seems the hotel was at one time a home for a rather rich family. I could be wrong

Comfy beds. Nice staff. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Some days hot and tasty. Other days not so much. Wifi is annoying as they make you type in a new password every day which becomes annoying after a few days. Shower was ok with warm water. There is an excellent massage place across the street so that was a daily bonus

We had a good stay at Rosvenil. The free breakfast was superb! It’s plated already 2 viands, rice, juice, and coffee. Though they charge extra for for room service of breakfast but it wasn’t that expensive. My husband and I just choose to eat breakfast in our room coz we were too tired. Everything was clean! The tv remote was broken but it wasn’t a big deal. AC worked fine, hot and cold shower also worked fine. We had a good night sleep duting our stay. Will definitely book again.

The property was very clean. I was at another hotel not too far away there was a lot of mosquitoes dirty. I only stayed there for one hour. And I went to this hotel everything was nice, I like the breakfast the staff was good I have no complaints

It was a satisfying stay. I hope the management of the hotel will look into improving back balcony view. The staff are ok, I just did not feel the warmest welcome of the staff as i always in other hotels in the Philippines.

Needs improvement - front desk employee
It was good in general. However, there service was just what we expect. I ask if I can borrow an adapter for charger but the front desk incharge on thay evening informed me that he will look for one but he called back just to inform me that the management strictlg prohibits lending office property. Which I understand but it would be best to inform the guest the policy if it is really a policy and do not give false hope to guests. I hope their front desk (when I check in) would be friendly next time to all guests and atleast put a smile on their faces. I hope culture of being friendly and welcoming will be their priority.

I wanted to comment on Rosvenil, not just because Expedia invited me to comment. This Rosvenil is great! I love it. (To westerners, it may be more of a "motel," as the corridors are outdoors.) It has private balconies, a beautiful front garden (w/ koi fish), but with a simultaneous city and very private vibe. It may not have the most amenities of any place to stay in TAC, but I would recommend the place to anyone (except my Uncle). ~bless ps: have stayed here pre and during quarantine...both experiences were exceptional.

The hotel was clean, staff friendly, nice little restaurant on the property, downtown location that was walking distance to some stores. Room was of fair size and good hot water shower. By one big negative: I stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and directly across the street from the hotel is a Restaurant/Bar that is of the open air type, no side walls. Each night they had a live band that started around 800pm and didn't stop until 100-115AM both nights. The music was so loud that it was shaking my room door and walls. I complained to the front desk but little if anything was done..Don't know if this is the case for the rest of the nights of the week but I won't stay there again..After a long day of travel and business I wanted to sleep but that was not possible..

Normally, while in Tacloban, my default hotel is XYZ, but the cleanliness has been going down hill. And, the relatively recent fire at Robinson’s makes Summit Hotel irrelevant. So, we wanted to try something else. While there is no swimming pool, Rosvenil offers great exterior corridors, private balconies, and a front garden with a koi pond. (For a smoker, this is a definite perk.) As an architect, the building and spaces have a lot of character. Of the little the surrounding area I was able to explore, I found groceries, restaurants, and stores to be abundant and convenient. I will certainly stay here again!

The people are very friendly and very accomodating. Service is superb. Other than the issue with hotwater that is hit and miss..,a small shower space., the place is a good place away from home. I will go back to stay and recommend to others. The price of the food in the restaurant is very comparable to nearby restaurants.

The room was of a good size and the bed was comfortable. The buffet breakfast could have been better as they seemed to have difficulty coping with the number of guests all turning up for breakfast at the same time. The wifi was a bit hit and miss.
