Fantastic is the word that comes to mind. From the moment we entered the Quinta, we experienced phenomenal customer service, absolutely fantastic food, and a clean, safe, and very reasonably priced piece of paradise. We can't say enough good about the staff, the tranquility, the location, the facilities, and the food and wine. Quinta do Pego is an absolute winner and a must for anyone visiting the Douro Valley and Pinhao.

Just one night was enough for us to enjoy this excellent hotel. A perfect option for wine lovers and wine experience visiting its vineyard, spectacular staff experience as well. Everything awesome.

A beautiful seeing, with great food for the evening meal. High standards throughout. The only inconsistentcy is that I felt the breakfast was average.

Relaxing hotel in a beautiful setting
The hotel and its staff make your stay very relaxing. Our bedroom had spectacular views down the Douro river. The food was very good and the wine accompanying it was of a high quality.

On arrival we were asked if we needed dinner reservation, I informed them I had already emailed them to make the dinner booking, we were then asked if we had chosen food options but I informed them we were not asked to pre order nor were we sent menus? We were shown a food/wine pairing option & agreed that would be lovely but then were told “oh sorry we don’t have time to prepare that”… Not the friendliest or most professional welcome to say the least! The rooms are very basic & for the high price I would expect much more luxury & maybe tea/coffee facility in room ?!

Excellent facilities and location, with spectacular views. Only problem that I can really think of is that the sun umbrellas by the pool do not work at all when it is windy... which is not so uncommon.

Peaceful, stunning views and just perfect!
An absolutely wonderful stay! The staff were excellent, informative and extremely accommodating. Wonderful Port tasting available, recommendations for winery tours were right on target, outstanding meals every night at the hotel, local, delicious and elegantly served. Perfect location for a Douro Valley visit. Can't wait for our next visit.

Einfach perfekt!
Einfach perfekt! Aussergewöhnliche Lage mit wunderschönen Aussicht auf den Douro. Schöne Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, sehr leckeres Abendessen und nettes Personal! Der Pool bietet einen tollen Ausblick. Einzig die Fachkompetenz bei der Weinprobe hätte besser sein können.

Flot hotel med fantastisk beliggenhed. Mange små udendørs terrasser og en swimmingpool med fantastiske udsigter over floden de stejle skråninger. Meget venligt personale og rigtig god mad serveret i hotellets restaurant. Der er en butik, hvor man kan smage gårdens egne produkter. Danske gæster har mulighed for gratis at få sendt sine flasker til Danmark.

Superbe Hôtel avec une vue magnifique sur le Douro. Le service et l'acceuil sont parfaits, les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables. Le dîner sur place est assez bon mais manque un peu de notes portugaises (brownie comme dessert). Un hôtel charmant pour une escapade à deux loin de la ville.

O lugar é maravilhoso para apreciar a vista das plantações! Em relação ao hotel, no ultimo dia, sentimos um cheiro desagradável que saia da tubulação do banheiro (uma tampa que saia do chão) e faltou uma ajuda para colocar as bagagens no carro. Fora isso...tudo foi perfeito!

Quinta do Pego has been recently refurbished (rebuild?) by a Danish company and offers a fantastic experience in the Douro Valley. The Quinta is small (only 10 rooms) and excels in personal attention: no matter where you are in the hotel and at what time, you will be able to order a drink or a bite. And when you enter your room for the first time, a great port surprise awaits you! The infinity pool is a great place to relax, but there are also walks through the grape ranks which you undertake at your leisure. At the ground floor there is a port bar where tastings take place. The sommelier is very knowledgable and available for all your questions; if you opt for dinner (great value for money), he will also be the one presenting and explaining the various wines and ports to you. The view from the restaurant and the rooms (at least the ones we stayed in) was impressive, especially at sunset. All in all a great place to relax and enjoy the good (port) life. Highly recommended.
