Devil’s Thumb Ranch is an award-winning, environmentally friendly year-round ranch resort, spa, corporate retreat and wedding/honeymoon destination offering rustically upscale accommodations, sustainably-focused dining and an array of winter and summer outdoor mountain recreation.
The Ranch is located in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, 65 miles west of Denver and 15 minutes west of Winter Park. Devil’s Thumb Ranch encompasses more than 6,000 acres of privately owned wilderness at the foot of the Continental Divide in the beautiful Ranch Creek Valley.
Devil's Thumb Ranch offers three types of lodging accommodation, a main Lodge, ridgetop Cabins and the remote Bunkhouse. The full-service Ranch Creek Spa offers 18 treatment rooms including a couples room, yoga studio and boutique shopping. Spa guests also enjoy steam rooms, aromatherapy rooms and a private hot tub.
The activity center features a year-round outdoor pool and hot tub, locker rooms, steam room, sauna, fitness center and mercantile where guests can purchase gear, clothing and gifts, or rent cross-country ski gear, snowshoes, ice skates, or bicycles.
Winter outdoor activities include 150km of groomed ski trails, snowshoeing trails, an ice rink, stables with sleigh and wagon rides and sledding. Summer activities include hiking, fly fishing, biking, horseback and wagon rides and an exhilarating zip line through the tree tops.
Indoor pursuits include dining in one of two award-winning restaurants or a coffee shop. The Lodge also features a business center, library, game room with pool, shuffleboard, air hockey, bubble hockey and miniature bowling, a 37-seat theater where movies are shown each evening, meeting and conference rooms and cozy nooks galore for relaxing.
Event facilities include a conference/meeting rooms, ballroom, and banquet and catering facilities and outdoor wedding venue.
This Ranch also offers Cowpoke Club for our guests aged 5 to 12. An area shuttle is complimentary for guests. Onsite parking is complimentary. A total renovation of this property was completed in 2007 and garnered the property an award from the EPA for environmentally responsible renovation of a historic property.
