The rooms were very clean and well equipped. Our stay was short and we did not use the swimming pool or gym. Plenty of parking. Good choice of breakfast foods. Highly recommend.

While the kitchen and dining area are in good shape, the rest of the facility is in poor shape. The halls look like cell blocks and the rooms are in dire shape. We had extensive mould all over the shower, a rotting bathroom door, smashed up walls and a worn out carpet. The pool had a layer of grime on the surface, crap on the bottom and the jacuzzi was frothing with oils and other filth. My advice: stay somewhere else!

I usually love Holliday ins, but for some reason the Ipswich one charges £16.95 for breakfast !! Per person, which is insane. And the receptionist at night time was very rude when I can down for some water. I was questioned on what room number I was in and accused of not actually having a room that night in the hotel

Everything about our stay was great from checking in and being offered a room nearer the pool to the wonderful breakfast we had everyday. The staff were exceptional and couldn’t do enough to help the guests and nothing was too much trouble. Parking was free and very convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be using it again in the near future.

I always stay at this hotel when in Ipswich. This time, it was Jem the receptionist who stood out, as someone who was very warm, welcoming and professional. Check-in was quick and flawless. A good, hearty breakfast was also had. Thank you Holiday Inn Ipswich.

Staff friendly, nothing too much trouble. Nice swimming pool complex. Really great to have such a lovely gluten free breakfast and felt reassured about cross contamination. Separate toaster etc. 3 rd stay and would stay again.

The bar service was very slow, taking 20 mins to get served as only 1 bar staff. 5 of us went in restaurant at 6:30pm sat for 30 min before any orders were taken, there was only 10 people in there, then the food took 1.5hrs to come out, Food was good when we eventually got it. Had to go to other bar to get drinks and spent far more then expected on drinks as waited that long for food to come out. other customer complaining about the service and even a staff member called the customer rude for complaining ! Card payment machine didn't work either. Had a dressing table in room with no chair, handle fell off wardrobe when opened it. Breakfast was good apart from asking for the veggie option sausages, they came out raw on one side and hot on the other (Frozen microwave i assume) sent them back. I booked out 3 rooms for 2 nights for work and expected more from this hotel chain, basically lack of staff was the main cause

Great hotel, well located and fantastic staff
Don’t arrive until late in the day but the 2 staff at reception were really happy and friendly, sorted us out a lovely big, quiet room. Husband used the pool, steam room and said was a great bonus to the stay as we’d had a long drive.

Disappointing
The staff were very friendly and trying their best, but the hotel itself is in a terrible state. Rooms are in desperate need of maintenance. Mine had scuffs all over the walls, no plug in the bath, the holder for the shower head was cracked so couldn't hold the shower straight, pillows were old and lumpy and the overall decor was depressing On top of it all, the pool was closed which was the main reason we'd booked this hotel specifically

Convenient location, very helpful staff, outstanding attention to dietary requirements, great breakfast and clean room but the bathroom has to be the smallest ever and the bed the most uncomfortable ever slept in. Overall, fine for one night but would have changed hotels if needed to stay longer.

Family stop over.
All staff are lovely, cannot do enough for you , very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is extremely good, with plenty of hot and cold choices. The actual rooms are ok, clean but definitely not 4* . Rooms are barely a 3* . The rooms and corridors definitely need updating, but was fine for a one night stop over .
